Kidding, Bill. Alena is a sweet girl. You should bring her to CMP. I hear they have a heart-shaped bed in room 214 at the Executioner (aka The Valentine’s Suite aka The Robinson-Geegar Suite).

In all fairness it was probably your wife that introduced him…you know us eastern europeans.

You know not of whom you speak. Bill is the SpecE30 girlfriend competition points champion. In '08 Bill was walking around the paddock with 3 chicks, introducing them as…I kid you not…
“Ex-Girlfriend” <Don’t remember who she was>
“Current Girlfiend” <Leia, the hottie that DE’s an E30>
“Future Girlfriend” <Leia’s successor>
The oldest girl was 21. And they all had that “happy but tired” look about them. Bill is a machine. In some circles they call him “The Human Piston”.

It was an online purchase (www.ukrainianbrides.com), so I used my AMEX, not a check! Plus the credit card has a better return policy.

Is it real?!?! I have been using that as my joke for months and I never bothered to check!
:woohoo:
While we’re all bowing out on CMP (well a page ago anyway), my car like others is still in the garage, sitting on the lift, waiting for me to load it and get the frame put back where it was last May. Pretty sorry if I do say so myself. Maybe I’ll get it done this month. Bought a company in November down in Beaufort SC and I’ve been on the road too much to worry about cars for now. I will be back, not gone forever like others.
CMP Feb. is on my calendar, but there are a few complications. Need new tires - this can be fixed with $$$. My tow truck - the big ugly black one - was wrecked by one of my family members, who shall not be named (not me). The driver’s side front corner is badly damaged; the front wheel is now resting in the bed of the truck. So, the insurance adjuster sees the mess tomorrow and it’s probably totalled. So, I’ll need to rent, borrow or buy a truck to get to the track. Unlike some other lame SE30 boys, my car is in good running order, fairly straight, and just as fast/slow as the last CMP. In short, I’m 50/50 at this time.

Great looking e3o. Watch out for turn 1. Ill see you all at RoadAtlanta in March. Sorry, work calls.
thanks. i haven’t been to RA yet, fortunately i’ll be there the week after cmp with bmwcca so i can learn it with a safe, polite crowd
Looks like we have +/-16 registered so far. Good crowd!!
How about this for a crazy idea: Why not throw the green at the flag station before the kink? It would be kind of like Mid Ohio. That would give lots of room to sort out before T11. The only real issue is where the pace car would pull off, but there’s the cross-over from before the kink to T1. The downside is that with a split start, one pace car would be stuck out there for the duration of the race.
My theory is that since T2 is easy to do side-by-side, there is extra incentive to get to driver’s left for 1, 3 and 4. Combined with the short distance from the flag stand to T1, congestion abounds!!
As long as we don’t invert the field, I’m ok with standing, flying, front straight, back straight, whatever. I just wanna race!!
I think that would be a good idea to at least try once. If it helps keep all the cars dent free then I’m all for that. Plus there is plenty of room from the kink until T14 to sort out.
seems like taking the green before the kink would just mean higher speeds leading in to an even tighter turn than t1…not sure that would really solve the problem…
i guess it could be worth a shot though to find out though…

being on the outside of 11 isn’t nearly so bad as you’d be inside for 12. if you get caught outside in 1 you’re probably gonna be outside in 3 too.

this seems to be getting off topic a bit but getting hung out on the outside of t11 will screw you as you have quite a bit further to drive than the person on the indside…also there is usually quite a bit of trash on the outside of t11…
i bet that if you are on the outside, even with the another car enterinng t11, they will beat you to (the inside of) t12…they are traveling less distance around t11 and (more importantly) they will be able to get on the gas sooner…
imo, getting stuck on the outside of t1 at the start of a race is much better than getting stuck on the outside of t11 (been in both situations plenty of times)…
smart driving at the start of the race will fix the issue…
