Most of the garages are full now. Some GP garages available. GP garages hold 2 cars plus get a 90 x 20 paddack space.

Currently I have GP5 and Speed Trapp has GP6, Bennett is in GP7. 8 is currently available. Team up and get another racer to grab one of the garages next to us. If we do this we’ll have paddack space available for some other spec e30 guys to pit next to us in the lot. Contact Dave at NASA and he’ll assign the spots to you. He is trying to keep those spots available for E30s at the moment, but it won’t be available for long.

OK, for all the other budget racers (myself included, I’ll be pitting out of my trailer & put the saving towards more shaved tires & beer…I’ll try to save some space once I arrive for any other NorCal guys that want to rough it.

Let me know…

I’m won’t be able to attend unless someone can convince my girlfriend to schedule her sister’s wedding for another weekend :). Any good significant -other negotiators out there?

Just remind her it’s her sister’s wedding. I mean, it’s not like you want to miss your girlfriend’s wedding!!

Besides, Tooele is the new hot place for “destination weddings”. The Chamber of Commerce says so!

My primary drive is in my Factory Five Roadster, but I am also shipping my SE30 there to race, they just haven’t shown my supersize entry yet. I am more confident that I can bring home the bacon in the Factory Five than the SE30, but I will be giving it my all.

Scott,
Great to hear another racer will be there, and representing the South. We will look forward to meeting you in person, make sure you come by Garages GP5, 6 and 7 to introduce yourself, and meet the Norcal guys! See you there. What is your car #? We will add you to the list.

OK up to 8. 3 others have told me they will be there. Keep thinking about it!

#13

Hey guys, I’m signed up for this event now. Looking forward to this, should be fun. Ron H.

#14

I’m in! Coming out from Maryland. Driving Steve Ferraro’s red #92!

#15

I broke a timing belt and ate the head, but putting it back together and trying to get it delivered to the transporation company in Atlanta by next weekend. I will keep you posted with progress. Really hoping to get it there.

#16

Ooh, and sorry, my car number is 985. Car is delphin metalic grey with green lettering.

#17

Update! Officially up to 10.

I am confident Steve "Iron Man " will be there to make 11. A little birdy tells me anothervery fast racer will be there as well. If our Factory Five Muscle Car Driver gets his car fixed, thats 13! Spec 944 is up to 29. We might get half way there.

#18

Steve is now official, and Robert Grace from Virginia, Sweet!

12 now, anyone? anyone? If you guys don’t come out, you are going to be bummin’ that you have another month layoff…

Brad… Andy… Gorman brothers (you cannot afford NOT to be there)

Mike…Greg (anniversery party in Utah huh, huh?!)

Sign up by tomorrow for better pricing. Tony and Sean are workin’ their brains (and their little muscles) out to get ready. Thanks to Donny and Will for getting my car from Jeff Baxman to STR! Jeff thanks for the quick turnaround and fair price!!!

The racing community always amazes me. I was ready to bail on Nationals and NONE of you could would let me give up! Thanks to all the NorCal guys!

Wow! What an emotional rollercoaster the week at Nationals was.

First off Congrats to Franz Hansen from the East for his win in Tim Barbers car.

Big Congrats to our own Gary Rieger for his 2nd place podium finish! There were a lot of talented drivers in the field and I appreciate all the schooling I received.

A top 5 was my goal and I picked up just enough crumbs to get there. The final race I ran Camera Car for Donny and Steve as they battled vicciously for 5th. Watch the video, it tells the story! They diced it up good in the end, it was all fair, I think,… see who comes out on top.

Here is the video link:

http://vimeo.com/15147548

I will make an edited one later with the highlights but frankly it is all pretty good. I should have fought to move up one more spot on the final lap but my rookie weak constitution caused me to putt around the final lap, digesting what I had just seen. I was a wimp.

Thanks to Tony Zwain and Sean Trapp of Speed Trapp Racing. They both worked their butts off. Tony pulled an all nighter replacing my head Gasket and repairing Seans Broken Rocker. Tony also deserves some credit for helping Franz Diagnose and fix his ABS on Tims car. Tonys perserverance, dedication, and tireless effort are applauded by me!!!

Scoot Neville stepped to help me as Crew Chief and Spotter for the final race and deserved the special treat I carried in the car for him!

Jon Milledge Engineering experience was extremely valuable in helping me reach a competetive level. Ron Cortez of AIM tire helped me make the right call on tires. JT was willing to step in and help whenever needed. Donny thanks for the coaching,…although clearly you DID NOT tell me everything.

NASA put on a great party, show, I mean race. Actually they did it all well. Late nights in teh paddack with Dave B as our host were fantastic! Jeff, Harry, Jerry, and Dave L. were all great to deal with and played as hard as they worked! Head on Photos got lots of awesome racing pics. I bought the CD and can’t wait to see the rest he got on Saturday.

Kart racing every night was awesome! Even if we did get banned forever on the last night!

We all enjoyed hanging out with Robert Grace, Seth and Chris C as well. Sorry you car broke Robert,…sometimes the curbs bite back! Robert was really fast! It would be fun to do some East-West Showdowns in the future, Sean Trapp is putting some ideas together on that.

Thanks to everyone involved!!!

Emotional roller coaster indeed, Shoe. Starting dead last instead of on pole was hard to swallow, breaking a tie rod on the final lap after working from last to third was almost comical after the week I had out there.

Great meeting all of you guys, had fun hanging out and learned a lot last week.

Glad you’re okay Steve, I had no idea you took such a hit until I saw the video.

Big thanks to my Dad for making the trip possible for me, he’s the primary sponsor, mechanic, truck driver, and fan, and without him I would certainly not be racing right now.
