Nationals at Miller 2010

#21

Glad I decided to fly out Friday night with Walter to join in the fun. The race was awesome to watch live. The race within the race between Donny Steve and Kevin was great to watch plus the opening laps with Gary holding off Cobetto and Hansen. The go-kart race was a total hoot…I was a minnow out there with a bunch a sharks. Ron Cortez knocked a filling loose on me when he rammed me from behind…I guess you’re not suppose to use the brakes on those karts!

Here are some happy snaps I took:

I just feel lucky that I was able to enjoy the Miller experience. All of the NorCal guys were great and the racing was really super.

I can’t possible say enough about the program that Speed Trapp put together, their car prep and race support was spectacular !! And, I’m garage spoiled for the rest of my life. If they put together a program for Mid Ohio next year, I’m definitely IN.

Scoot,

Great Pics thanks for posting!

Regarding Robert Grace, who was fast and a heck of a nice guy, Seth too, how about “Orange Juice” or just “the Juice”. That is what I would call him if he was in Nor Cal! Keep up the good Work Juice Boy.

Haha I can work with that. I made a little highlight reel here from Saturday’s race:

great video robert, although it could have used more star wipe. i especially like the freudian camera placement so that only the “race” part of your name shows up, that’s a nice touch.

Definitely a Juicey run from the back! Sorry you had a mechanical on the final lap…well I was happy to take the position back actually. Not the way I wanted to of course…awe whom I kidding. I am glad to pick up your crumbs.

Nice driving. Look forward to racing you again or watching you on TV. Keep pressing!

Thanks for posting the video. Please edit out the photo shopped pass on the 55 car you doctored into that video! I am glad you Chris and Franz made the trip out. You guys taught me a lot.

Nice video Robert, I liked the way you highlighted your victims throughout the race then at the end when you fall prey to your own demise with Reiger in your sights on the final lap the video ends, you could have at least shown all us slow and steady tortoises pass the hare back! Nice meeting you,Chris and the “Champ” Franz, hope to race with you again soon…

Nice drive! I would have protested you for illegal wiper placement, though. That had to be worth at least 0.1 mph at the end of the front straight.

I thought I would add a few photos to the thread from Head on Photos. Steve sure does a great job! Yes they do have me in them.
Here we see Ferrario where I like to see him!

Here is King Cobetto, where I rarely saw him.
