NASA-SE: Santa's Toy Run, December 3-4-5, Road Atl

#1

NASA-SE proudly presents the annual Santa’s Toy Run! at Road Atlanta in Winder, GA on December 3-4-5, 2010. This will be a fun filled event that promises to exceed all previous levels of NASA-SE quality events. We will have our annual 8 Hour Endurance race on Friday evening and continuing through out the weekend. This event includes:

High Performance Driver’s Education (HPDE) - drivers of all makes and models of cars can sign up and begin at the novice level (HPDE 1) and work their way to advanced driving skills. All drivers start with classroom instruction as well as an in-car instructor to guide you to drive your car at the limits. All of this takes place with the safety of a racetrack under controlled conditions.

Time Trials (TT) - Drivers will compete for their fastest lap times and win all types of contingency money and prizes. The beauty of TT is the fact that you can do all of this with only your street car and a helmet!

Sprint Races - All of the standard NASA classes will be participating, 944Spec, SpecBoxter, American Iron(AI), Factory Five Racing (FFR), German Touring Series (GTS), Honda Challenge(HC), Performance Touring(PT), SpecE30, SpecMiata, Super Unlimited(SU), Super Touring(ST), etc. Cars will be split up into groups and the racing will be intense to watch and participate in!

After a few months on the sidelines :frowning: , I plan to be at RA on Sat/Sun for the Toy Run. :cheer: Who else? Fingers crossed for fine weather.

#3

I’ll be there doing DE2 again. I will start DE3 next year.

#4

I’ll be doing the sat/sun race. It will be my first time there with the E30 and I’m really looking forward to it.

Enduro has Johan/Luke, Palacios, & DeVinney/OPM in the E3/SE30 subclass. Since it is a double points race hopefully more will sign up.

I will be there, without a car (reliving glory days like JP and Jones), to taunt people like DeVinney. When’s the smack talk going to start? That’s the only reason to use this forum. I’ll start:

Jim Robinson is to aluminum tape and Might Putty as Scott Gress is to Ultra Gauge.

Maybe TeddyBearM3 can keep this thread alive.

Smack talk? I am trying to keep a low profile since I haven’t been in an E30 since June. But at that weekend I had the podium covered up like Geegar at a Pampers sale. BAM!

I’m affraid to ask on the NASA forums, but does anyone know if the racers pits will be open for parking or are we gonna be jammed in jelly tight again?

#9

Jammed. Take a look at the entrants list. I am going up on Fri to set up camp. Early enough to see part of the Enduro.
Where were you thinking of parking Chris?

#10

We are using both paddocks - so there should be a leetle breathing room…

#11

I think it’s about time for a rookie win. That is all.

#12

You don’t need to remind us you are a rookie. We’ve seen you drive.

Right next to you. Save me a spot. I plan to get there in the afternoon on Friday.

#14

Making the trip down again, can’t wait. Doing the enduro in a pinata and the sprints in my car. Been looking forward to this since last year.

Done deal

#17

I am out for this event. Too many deals trying to get closed by the end of the year (which, as an aside, is a great sign for the economy in terms of economic indicators! M&A deal flow tends to be a leading indicator…).

I hope to run the entire schedule next year…

#18

I’m out as well:( I tried to find a way to run the enduro with the LeMons car but it would take to much work to get ready in time. I’ll be stopping by sometime over the weekend to give a kid a toy and watch the racing. Ya’ll have fun

#19

I am in for this one. Looking forward to getting back into the SE30 and RA. Maybe this time I can find some more speed.

#20

Sorry to be out for RA. Excuses: Im on call, broken rocker arm #4, and have a kick bucket to fill :X(Mckay will understand). You all play nice. See ya next year!
