NASA SE Road Atlanta Race

The race dates:August 16-17. Who is comming down to the SE to compete with the NASA SE regulars? Forrest? Vic? Kieth? Brandon? Others? Forrest you’ll have to race as there is not an instructor school offered at this event. Regards, Robert Patton

Hey Robert, I think you will win the race if you show up on the 16th and 17th . According to the calendar the race is on the weekend… :wink:

Seriously, my dad and I are hoping to attend, but not sure what the schedule of the weekend might be. Enduro, or two sprints? We need to figure out co-driving situation since we will be splitting the weekend.

Okay Robert, most likely I will be there, since I don’t have another event on my schedule for another 5 weeks–but that will give me time to catch up on other things…like school that starts on the 17th! I am doing the instructor clinic on friday at VIR, tomorrow, at least planning on it, just showing up as the registration was closed when I tried to sign up.

Okay Robert, I don’t think RA is a go for me anymore. Some guys in my Bible Study are wanting to have a ‘cookout’ that weekend over at my place (our ‘leader’ is one of my roommates now) and I figure I should do some more work on the truck before I drive it too much more. It’ll just give me a chance to catch up on a few things here and there…sorry buddy. I am signing up for O’fest though, so I will see you guys there! And Summit after that!

Forrest, no problem as attendance by a large nuber of Spec E30 racers at Octoberfest will make that event more fun to attend than this NASA SE event. I saw Mel/Jim Meyers’ car today and it looks like they’ll be racing at RA and can take your spot on the grid. Regards Robert ( is it time to turn in on Vic ?) Patton

What is the update on who will be attending? Looks like me and my dad will be there, one of us will drive Saturday, and the other on Sunday. Carter?

There are quite a few SpecE30/GTS/944Cup drivers coming down to Road Atlanta, so many that we split them out into their own run group - "BlitzKreig" - see you next weekend!

ARGH - after hoping, planning, and more hoping, I am unfortunately OUT for Road Atlanta. It’s just too much time off of work, and too much money right now.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for next year.

We are definitely "in" for this weekend. Dad will be driving on Saturday, me on Sunday. The thought was, that if I break the car, his driving is out of the way. Fo some reason he thinks there is higher probability of me breaking the car than him. B)

So, it will be us vs. Patton vs. the clock in SpecE30?
