NASA-SE: Pit Bull Brawl, May 1-2, CMP

#1

NASA-SE proudly presents the annual Pit Bull Brawl! at Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP) in Kershaw, SC on May 1-2, 2010. This will be a fun filled event that promises to exceed all previous levels of NASA-SE quality events. We will have our normal schedule starting on Friday and continuing through out the weekend. This event includes:

High Performance Driver’s Education (HPDE) - drivers of all makes and models of cars can sign up and begin at the novice level (HPDE 1) and work their way to advanced driving skills. All drivers start with classroom instruction as well as an in-car instructor to guide you to drive your car at the limits. All of this takes place with the safety of a racetrack under controlled conditions.

Time Trials (TT) - Drivers will compete for their fastest lap times and win all types of contingency money and prizes. The beauty of TT is the fact that you can do all of this with only your street car and a helmet!

Sprint Races - All of the standard NASA classes will be participating, 944Spec, SpecBoxter, American Iron(AI), Factory Five Racing (FFR), German Touring Series (GTS), Honda Challenge(HC), Performance Touring(PT), SpecE30, SpecMiata, Super Unlimited(SU), Super Touring(ST), etc. Cars will be split up into groups and the racing will be intense to watch and participate in!

I think there are 13 on the list as of today, but no Robert Patton who I assume is going to be there, so that should make 14. Then again Al’s car is tore up to pieces, so he might not make it, so that gets us back down to 13.

#4

No on the R Patton.
Hate to miss it, but out of town on business.

I have not registered yet but as long as my trial run with NASA-FL goes well this weekend, I will be there.

Cool - Fresh meat to spank! (let the smacktalk begin!)

From Scott’s multiple wrenching questions one could safely say his skill set rivals that of DeVinney. But they don’t post race results based on one’s ability to swap engines, fix rocker arms, paint cars, etc. So I’m outta luck.

Easy on the trash talk about Scott’s racing as he drove the Pantherat Sebring at a fast pace and with his record(s) with FFR cars I would expect someone to challenge Johan, or, prehaps…DeVinney.

Too bad I’ve gotta miss this one.Do you dare ask the MA guys to come down?

Well damn, I was all excited for a big field back at one of my home tracks… but I guess we’ll have another small one. 10 was fun at Lowes, I suppose 13 will be fine at CMP.

#9

I bet you a beer there will be 20…

#10

I will be there to spectate and officiate the first annual spec e30 badmiton round robin tournament, thats right, I said “round Robin”…I did invite the MA guys, check their forum…

We’re using an actual badminton net right? Volleyball nets are not the same, and are too high for regulation shuttle-cock-action. It’s a rookie mistake made all too often…

There are women all over the world that will attest to Al’s shuttle-cock-action.

I am really just sorry I am not going to be able to repeat my win from last Nov…

Al

Sad to report, that if I show up at all, it won’t be to race.

I’m going to show up Thur evening and do the track day with Turn One. In the absence of an enduro it will be useful to get a track refresher, having had only 4 laps there since last Fall.

The Feb Lemons race doesn’t count.

I also want to give motor #6 a workout and see how it fairs before unleashing it on y’all.

Anyone else rolling in Thur night?

?! I thought you were making this event your 2010 debut?

#19

I received some bad news yesterday… :frowning:

Took the Panther to 6 Sigma for some dyno testing and she has gained 6 hp! I have no excuses not to be in front now!!!

(except for the hellacious rear toe out that I can’t seem to adjust out of the car…)

Jim, have you tried replacing the control arm? Or are you waiting for someone else to drive the car and then have to fix it 'cause they messed it up?

Ha,ha, get busy.
