Because it’s complicated. People don’t race to improve their multitasking skills. lol Two things at once on the race track. ummm no thanks. lol

I can see the 985 car on the podium both days.
Did they expand the podium for this weekend? I thought it was usually the top 3 drivers.
I gotta give a shout out to Scott McKay for his performance this weekend. I met Scott at the registration trailer Friday morning and I thought “he’s not as bad as everyone says, but it’s early”. I gave him a ride back to his truck. You have to respect a lawyer who flaunts the massive tort liability that is his two-car open trailer. Bubble gum and chicken wire. But it held two cool cars, his FFR and SE30.
He ran both, finishing 5th Saturday and 2nd Sunday in Spec E30 and 2nd & 1st in FFR. Not a bad weekend!
I wasn’t at the awards ceremony but he raced Sunday so either Pantas bailed him out of jail early in the morning or he behaved this time. :woohoo:
I think I fed him enough Bar-B-Q flavored crow on saturday night to keep him humble
Steve, I appreciate the shout out. My bad rap comes from a particularly drunken post-race session in South Carolina last year. That said, its always subject to a repeat, so you never know if you are getting Jekyl or Hyde, but still…
I am glad you liked the trailer. Despite being ugly, that trailer is solid and safe and hauls any two of my five race cars at a time. I love that thing. Not sure I’m up to race two cars in a weekend again. Its just too hot out for all of that. I want to sit and be lazy.
I tried to bring the 985 as far to the front as I could. With 141hp, it apparently only comes so far to the front, but I had a great time both days, and was pretty happy with a second place finish on Sunday, particularly after hoovering down BBQ and then working down a bunch of bing cherry moonshine, jellow shots and beers at the Thunder Roadster tent Saturday night. EX-NBA player Brad Daugherty made the moonshine, and for those of you that haven’t met him, he is a really cool, down to earth guy. He races a Thunder Roadster that was made special for his 7 foot 1 330 pound self. He drives that car with more aggression than talent, and its a real blast to watch that happen.
Again, a fun weekend. Can’t wait to do it again soon.
Forgot to turn the Camera on for Saturday, But I did get the Sunday Race!!
Fred did get capture a little bit of my fun in the oil on Saturday
You can see that Jon Stroup and I come together just after the restart, minor damage to either car.
I was pretty slow all weekend, and the worst thing about that is I know why and where I am slow. I just need more seat time to gain the confidence to push the car a little more. I had a great time racing with everyone, and hopefully I’ll see everyone sooner rather than later.
