NASA-SE Goes to VIR

#1

Hello Everyone,

I was sitting at dinner on Saturday with some of the SpecE30 racers and I got to thinking about VIR. I love VIR but I never want to go by myself. I then had several others say how much they liked the track. So, I got to thinking, how cool would it be to take a bunch of the NASA-SE guys and head up to VIR for the weekend.

Here’s the plan:

July 25-26 for VIR Full Course
We’ll set up a pit area for anyone that wants to join. Bring a few beers and a worthy race car and we’ll make it a GREAT weekend.

Here’s the tenative list of attendee’s:
Laura Patton
Robert Patton
Chuck Taylor
Kelly Childress
Jim Levie
Mike Skeen

Anyone else want to join??? Registration opens May 23rd. Go to: http://www.nasaracing.net/sched_regis.htm

Let’s make this a SouthEast bombards the Mid-Atlantic and have some great fun!

Laura

Be there or be square.

It looks like the trip to VIR will superceed a trip to Mid Ohio for me (sorry, Simon, there was not enough interest).

Will the Mid Atlantic guys then invade Road Atlanta in August? Just a thought.

Regards, RP

You can pencil me in for this one…

I’d rather be running North or South Course, but Full could be fun.

I’m going to put it in the “seriously consider” stack. I’ve got to drive to the outer banks the weekend before and the weekend after this date, so I’ve got to decide if I feel like being in the car that much.

Count me out…Ill be in NY for a wedding. :frowning:

Or…maybe Ill show, and just be minus one friend…nah, better go, I’m in the wedding after all.

And yes Indy Jim, Geegar, Travis, al, Skeen, etc. I am aware I have very few friends and cant afford to lose any.

I don’t think those types of marriages are legal, but may be different up in NY. I won’t be there either I was supposed to be driving in the Club Race in a few weeks but that is looking doubtful at least in an e30.

I hope the tent and flag rule is finalized by then. The one those Ford guys rocked in our parking spots was pretty hot.

Bring yourselves, leave the mediocrity! :woohoo:

I know some of us MA guys would be up for returning the favor- when the heck is IFU3???

I think Chuck is still working out the details but it looks like it may be on one of the CMP dates…

I think Pantas would like to see IFU-3 at Lowes in July but since Factory 3 probably can’t even make that race, the most likely alternative is the fall (November) CMP date.

There’s an awful lot of stuff planned for one day at Lowes. Races, Enduro and IFU!?!

#11

Hmmmm…me likes this idea.

#12

I didn’t say it correctly. Very little chance of IFU being at Lowes. Plan on CMP in November.

#13

The cursed double post.

#14

I’ll be there. Lets hope I’ll brake my tradition of wrecking my car.

Alex.

My decision will rest solely on what impact skipping Lowes will have on my chase for 6th place points.

I want GeegArt.

No worries. I’d love to join you guys but its just not in the cards. Although the memories of freezing my ass off in a tent and getting woken up by Cobetto’s singing isn’t really that appealling

John
Problem solved. On first trip to outer banks, drop the trailer/race car at Reverend Al’s (very reasonable storage fees), then soak up the sun and surf then head back to race.

With a plan like that, you’d be crazy not to do it. (do it… do it…)

John
I hear he’s pretty generous with the split…60/40 Al.

By the way, need to update your Sig fella. It’s out of date.
