Two races on Saturday (30 minutes each) and a combined 60 minute race on Sunday. Is anyone going to attend? I’ll be there to race and instruct with the taxi cab. Others? Regards, Robert Patton
NASA SE at Rockingham--10/21-22
Steve, bring the bushing puller and I’ll bring some passenger side trim (if I can pull it without messing it up). Regards, Robert Patton P.S. was there something else I was to bring for you?
I had not forgotten. I’ve got the bushing puller boxed up and ready.
As for the trim, I don’t need it. I was able to get my old trim back on and
looking reasonably straight. Thanks anyway.
The only other thing we had talked about was me looking at your car to figure out how to wire my cutoff switch - that was it.
See you at Rockingham.
Steven
I’ll be there in HPDE 1 looking for all the help I can get. I’ll be in the blue '87 535is though. The gold '89 325i isn’t ready. We found a bad ball joint in the passenger lower control arm while changing shocks.

Can I register for this race with a NASA MA provisional license? I still have one more race to complete to get my competition license.

OOps…Sorry I got the wrong region. You will need to check with Pantas.
I’ll be there instructing, and will have my brother there in HPDE1. We should have our new 1987 325is there, this car is already on its way to becoming a SpecE30 hopefully for next season. See you there. Tom
Robert, Although I have yet to register, I do plan to be there. The fuel pump on my car has been changed since the RRR event and I just don’t want to park it for the season not knowing if I’ve fixed the fuel starvation problem or not.
Re kill switch
Yo Steve
My car is parked up at VIR so I have not been able to check wiring…but we tried to wire Travis’ car the other nightr and failed…there is a trick, besides wiring the big red main relay wire to the switch, I think it has to do with taking the Alt wire off the starter solinoid and isolating it.
Al
Al, 1) ain’t gonna happen cause I just installed one of those turbo wheel thingees (per the rules, mind you, ahead of the air intake) and with my APC Neon Glow swiches and newly added fuzzy dice on the mirror I’m going to be hard to catch. Too much straightaway talent for ya. 2) see answer to #1. Regards, Robert Patton P.S. I’m pretty certain that Laura will be there and she will be gunning for you too. Final note to Al…I looked up the name of the turbo wheel device. It is called the TORNADO and my box says that it is "a vortex generator." Now you can’t beat that! Hurry on down to Autozone and get yours while the are still in stock. Only 69.99. No kidding… They’re going to be all-the-rage in spec e30. Really! Without a doubt…
Ken, I’m not the final answer on racing, but I’m betting that you’ll be okay. Contact Jim Pantas for the answer. Steve, we will figure out the wiring thing at the track. I’ll bring some parts to make the connections easy.Regards,Robert Patton
Just to keep this in front of everyone…Yes, we desperately need instructors, so if you know anyone that can help please have them sign-up. Likewise , there is plenty of room for racers. Join us. Regards, Robert Patton
