If I were computer literate I would attach a link.

I am not.

See the NASA web site as there is an announcement that is big news, little news, just news, don’t know how to react news.

Wow!

Congrats to Shawn.

Carter gave a lot for this series. He and Mike Mills created the whole darn thing. Every little detail that defined the character of our series, they figured out. Since then Carter has dumped a fortune worth of his time, patience putting up with bitches and hassle, and a lot of his money into keeping the series happy. When there are SpecE30 types around, Carter should never have to pay for a beer.

This weekend at CMP we will raise a toast to Carter Hunt.

Ditto, the post from Gress.

From way back in the day, Carter had a vision of a series where low cost and stable rules were the way to go racing. If I am not mistaken, the series was presented to the BMW CCA, but it did not find a home there. The NASA folks acknowledged the concept and it wasn’t long that the first Spec E30 racers showed up at VIR in the cold of February 2005(?) with a field of 5-7 cars.

Were it not for Carter’s vision I would have missed so much fun racing and so many close friendships.

Sure we bicker, sure we bang, but it has been, and continues to be, a great ride.

THANK YOU Carter Hunt.
