RICHMOND, CA - August 28, 2007. The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Toyo Tires will sponsor the 2008 “World of Grassroots Motorsports” calendar which will prominently feature NASA drivers. Additionally, six National Champions that compete on Toyo Tires in the 2007 NASA Championships presented by Toyo Tires at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course will have their car featured as a monthly “centerfold” in the calendar that will be sent to all GRM subscribers and included in newsstand issues.
The six classes that will be featured are American Iron, Camaro Mustang Challenge, Honda Challenge (either H1 or H4, whichever has the higher class count), Factory Five Challenge, Spec Miata, and Spec E30. At the time of this release, both H1 and H4 are currently tied for car counts and the calendar spot will go to whichever class has a higher car count by the start of the event.
“This will be incredible exposure for our Champions at this year’s National Championship. It is not often that six NASA racers can get a spot on a national wall calendar,” said Ryan Flaherty, NASA National Chairman. “We are very happy that Toyo Tires and GRM were willing to bring this project to reality which allows us to offer yet another bonus to some of the winners at the NASA National Championship event. We are always looking for ways to increase the number of benefits we offer and this was a perfect opportunity for that. It takes a lot of hard work to win a National Championship and this is just another reward for that hard work.”
In light of this great news, NASA has decided to help those that need a few more days to get entered for the Championship event by extending the entry deadline to Sept 3rd, 2007 at midnight. So, please get yourself entered as soon as possible for the National Championship event as it’s right around the corner.
We look forward to seeing you all at the 2007 NASA National Championship event.
