Mid Ohio this year?

Any Spec E30’s planning to run Mid-Ohio with NASA OH/IN?

The dates are:

  • April 22-23
  • July 8-9 (same weekend at NASA MA @ Summit)
  • August 12-13

They don’t currently show Spec E30 on the registration page. Carter, will they create a Spec E30 crowd if some of us show up? How many would need to go?

This is all in preparation for NASA Nationals, which I’m hoping we can get a boatload of E30’s to!

I think that in the interest of fairness we should all wait & go to Mid-Ohio cold in September. Those who are closer & have prior experience at the track will have a huge advantage - it would be interesting to see who among the first-timers can show up, learn the track, and post the best times there.

I’m hoping to talk to other SoCal racers to see if we can jointly rent a rig to tow a few cars to the track, and to the arrive-and-drive rich-man thing for the event. Otherwise, I’m not that much of an addict to tow my car across the country for a race.

Steve,
I like your idea of having everyone drive it cold, but I think there’s already some Mid-Ohio experience in the group. I know that Carter has raced there, and I did an HPDE there a while ago.

Now if we could get NASA Nationals to do their thing at Hallett next year, then that would be perfect!!
