I can upload whatever I want to Youtube. I think you just have to verify your account or something. I make my videos on Windows Movie Maker and save the file. Then you need to go to Youtube to actually upload the bigger files. If you try to upload it through Windows Movie maker it gets pissed off and says it too long.
Yeah, I saw the upgraded file sizes on vimeo, but not going to pay for a plus account.
I’ll probably just shorten it to 250mb and upload. Just using windows movie maker.
You can also download Handbrake for Windows and tell it to compress the output from Movie Maker to whatever file size you’re looking for. My VIO camera does 720p, so I save the file in that size from Movie Maker, then compress it with Handbrake. It comes out pretty nice. Plus you can also encode it for use with Apple TV or other m4v players.
I just got back into town, so I’ll have my video up later tonight.
Well after screwing around with vimeo, youtube, photobucket and calling Verizon wireless about 3 times…
Only the first 15 minutes, but whatever.

Fun video Simon…a standing start! Thought you guys didn’t like standing starts? At least that’s what I seem to remember everyone telling the RD at Nationals last year!
Its not that I don’t like standing starts its that we weren’t told we would be doing them at a National event when the last time Nationals was at Mid Ohio we didn’t do them. I’m still not a fan of them as its too hard on the driveline but at least we will have had a little practice this year.
I think the MW guys would prefer not to do them, too, but we did it for the same reason.
