Mid O hotel

Wut is the Spec e30 hotel?? I may not want to camp the whole time…

On the way back from Summit I stopped in Fredericksburg VA for business on Monday, actually stayed in a hotel instead of the Volvo…This was at a Rodeway Inn, the official hotel of NASCAR…the room reeked of urine. After dealing with Jabba The Hut 3 times to get a key that worked, I decided to tough it out, I was so tired I was asleep in 5 mins anyway. the mental image of what people do in motel rooms is why you may find me sleeping underneath a tree at the track…well maybe under a tree isn’t the safest spot,…I guess I will be sleeping in the bed of the truck.

There are some nice B&B’s about 2 minutes from the track. Not sure of the prices, but one is called White Fence Inn or something similar, and the other is called the Thistle Hill Inn.

I don’t think they are cheap, but they are super-close to the track and they are used to dealing with track folks.

I found contact info for Thistle Hill Inn:

ph: 419-884-0653

I believe it’s ~$50 per person per night. Full home-cooked breakfast is included, as well as homemade cookies and other treats.

I would encourage anyone to stay at the track. I am expecting some good times to be had after the last checker of the day. Staying at the track just adds to the experience.

Although racing in GTS for now, I will be there and Shane Kleinpeter plans to come up and help me out. Should be a blast.

Yo Mike

I will be camping out, it looks like I will have a cargo van and will just throw a bed in it…I was planning to bum a space in your trailer for which I devised a diet of beans, stewed cabbage, cooked onions, more beans, and sardines. This is close to the diet used by rigmaster when he trains for the colon olympics. I may actually bring a cooler, so I will have beer and I may bring a pig head so we can cook some head cheese on your grill.
