Mid-Atlantic / Southeast Challenge?

What do you all think about a completely unofficial North/South challenge pair of races this summer?

It seems like VIR-Full, on July 25-27, followed two weeks later by Road Atlanta, on Aug 8-10, could be a great set of events to pull together some really huge SpecE30 fields. We could probably get 32-35 cars for each, assuming decent crossover from the neighboring regions.

The Road Atlanta event will also have an installment of the 3-hour enduro series.

Thoughts?

Love the idea…

the VIR date in July will be a No-Go for BeerTech, Malt Liquor Tech and a few others (you know who you chicken F-er’s are), because that’s the weekend of the 24 Hours of LeMons at CMP. :woohoo:

Team Salad Bar has hinted to the fact that they might come join in on the mayhem.

But… Road Atlanta would be awesome… hot… but awesome

There’s also the July 12-13 event at CMP that might be nice? Not so far for the Mid Atlantic guys…

944spec is “bragging” about bringing together over 42 cars at the Miller event in June, so let’s see some huge spec e30 events back east! (and, of course, you’re all welcome at Miller  )
cheers,

I’m planning one road trip to VIR, I had panned on March but if you want to do one mega event in July I’m down for that. I’d love to do Road Atlanta as well but I’m getting married this year. Will probably do Road Atlanta in 2009.

I’ll be at Lemons too. I hope everyone plays nice at Road Atlanta.
