I believe Jon narrowed it down to a clogged fuel-tank vent line. I had a similar problem a while back and the plastic line around the filler neck had been crimped down. It’s not an obvious repair, because if you just vent to the trunk or the wheel-well, then you get gas spewing out.

Vic is correct, unfortunately the poor venting caused my pump to go bad as well preventing Barry from keeping up with the others during the dry portion of the enduro.

We shall return with replacements ready.
