Malt Liquor Tech FRONT ROW!

#1

AP Rockingham NC

Team Malt Liquor Tech took the front row of the NASA SE Pitt Bull Brawl one hour enduro. This was the front row for both run groups, not just Spec e30! The sight made grown men weep openly and young ladies bare their brest’s willingly. Travis Wilson, polesitter, said "This aint no high school beer party". Amazingly the interval between 2nd and the 3rd place Beer Tech car was a whopping .003 seconds. This may be accounted for by the fact that Beer Tech brought something called "Coors Light" rumoured to be an alcoholic beverage, to the track. The race was the most intense this writer has seen, as the track was dry for the first lap and then a monsoon came in, lasting half the race. Most of the drivers were soaking wet, giving those with small bladders a good excuse. As at the last race at VIR drivers also got to play dodge the spoiler for almost the full hour.

I hope Euroimage was on hand for said "brests."

Glad to hear you boys had a good time - keep the reports flowing!

Al, I enjoyed the first lap of the enduro race the most. Passing on the apron of 1 and 2 was great fun.

Yet my definition of great fun was likely not shared by J.P. I can hear him now, "What is that …hole doing?"

Likely, J. P. will file that move away in the book of "I can’t believe he did that." Much like I’ve got a file folder of MA stuff (Goldwaite and Davidson in the grass through the lower esses) that I’ll long remember. Yep, I had my eyes opened at Road Atlanta too, by Goldwaite and Allen in March. Yep, I was paying attention.

Congratulation on the combined class win in the enduro! Go forth and spend some Toyo bucks. Fun weekend, lots of close racing, see you at Robeling Road.

Regards, Robert

David, if grass is a racing surface…well, I figured that the concrete would have better grip than grass. Great logic.

As much as I dread going to Rockingham I’ll have to admit that it was a fun weekend.Fun only because we had a good crowd of racers with lots of racing throughout the pack.

The weater was real funky on Sunday which added to the learning experience.

In talking to Jim Pantas I learned that the June event there may be the last time that NASA goes there. So, I’ll start now beating the drum to encourage others to attend.

Regards, Robert

P.S. congratulations on your race at VIR. Did I hear correctly that you won the IP class?

P.S.S. when are you going to join spec e30 full time?

Robert, i’ll have to remember your apron trick there if i ever make it back to rockingham!

I’m not a huge fan of the track itself but i’ve always had fun racing at the rock.

We had some nasty weather at vir on sunday as well. Very wet track in quali and the race. I enjoy racing in the rain though, and had a blast!

Thanks! I picked up a few IP wins

Spec e30 is strictly a part time gig this year (whenever i can beg/borrow/rent/steal a car). Who knows beyond that…

One key thing to remember is that it only works on the start.
