Hey NorCal SE30 Racers,

The early word from NASA NorCal is that there will be a Supersize option for SpecE30s to run in GTS. According to Jerry, GTS (Group G) will run in Group D along with the Porsches.

Also, Trackmasters is running on the Friday before our event.

I’ll also send out an email announcement as soon as I rebuild the mailing list…we switched servers and I have to re-do the mail list :pinch:

Can’t make practice, sooooo…I will need some special tips Scoot.B)

Anybody running the Enduro as well? I think Steve is considering it in his second red car.

Hey Duck Boy (Gentlemen Farmer,…I mean Rancher)! Does it ever rain in May at THill?

#3

How many guys planning to Supersize?

#4

So for the weather on Saturday it looks to be sunny and warmer highs in the upper 80s

#5

I will be Supersizing:)

Kevin…all it takes is a couple of Casa Ramos margaritas to get me talking…I’m easy!

10-4 Scoot! Casa Ramos Saturday night it is! I say the winner on Saturday buys us all a shot of Patron!!!

Austin will be in the Supersize for team road runner.

Let’s do Casa Ramos Friday night…Saturday we’re looking to maybe have a NorCal SE30 BBQ/Potluck in the paddock after the race. I’ll send out a feeler email tonight (Bennett suggested the BBQ). Besides…you’ll want any “track tips” before Saturday provided I’m fuzzy-faced enough to spill information  !

I’ll put the feeler out right now here too…what are the group’s thoughts about having a BBQ and potluck on Saturday? BBQ Bennett (“Q” for short) suggested it to me the other day and I thought it was a great idea (even though NASA has a competing food fest) but we agreed we would have superior food than NASA (no dig on NASA…but they are geared towards bulk production and we would have more variety with the potluck format).

What say ye NorCal racers? Yeh or neh on the BBQ Saturday night?

Friends and family are invited. Show off your cooking skills with favorite side dish or provide drinks. Bennett will provide the meat for BBQ for the event.

I’m in for supersizing and supper!

So how do you supersize if you all ready registered, can it be done online?

#11

I don’t even see an option for Supersizing yet…and have not registered for either.

Saturday night NASA will have a BBQ right? Also the 2 hr Enduro is Saturday night from 4 -6. Friday night I will not make Willows until Midnight as I have instructing duties at a PCA event at BW on Friday. I may do the enduro Saturday night, but not sure. Afterwards hanging out in the paddock of Spec E30 is fine with me. I guess I should bring the Tequila there. I will need to get the little umbrellas for Bennett and Scoot’s drinks.:silly:

Hi Scott,
A few months back I started grilling Bennett about a BBQ cook-off, he suggested doing it at Thunderhill so that he wouldn’t have a home track advantage by pulling out all the stops at Infineon.

At the moment I am feeling a bit stressed about taking on 1 more thing…Presently I am planning to supersize, run the enduro & also entertain my parents who are going down from Oregon to check out the racing thing for the first time… They can hang pretty well with just about anyone, I’ll make sure my dad brings down plenty of his home made vino…
The way they have the enduro scheduled, I will have basically 20 minutes from the end of the spec e30 race to be ready to go for the enduro…I know when the day is done, I will for sure have an appetite & be ready for one of those supersize margarita’s the Kuntz blends up.

If Joe Powers brings his RV, then I can easily prep something on Friday night…Put me down for a fruit salad…

How many guys are camping at the track?

I knew you would succumb to the pressure of a cook off and use any excuse to get out of it, if you need home field advantage in the future I’m game.

If time is short don’t feel obligated to participate in the potluck, We’ll still let your parents eat!

Not sure…give NASA a call 510-232-6272 ask for Dave Ho.

Umbrellas will be perfect! I forgot you were doing BW Friday…that will be a long day for you and Austin. We can tip a few Saturday at Bennett’s BBQ if we get that going.

#17

It sounds like it may be too busy of a weekend to take on a BBQ…what do you guys think. I for one would like to watch the Enduro from different points around the track which I have not done before. Also, website is updated and Supersizing is now an option:)

Don’t forget the enduro is over at 6, the ones that want to watch can and the others can consume adult beverages. It also looks like the weather will be in the 80s, I don’t think it would be as fun to have a BBQ when the weather in over 100 midsummer after racing all day and when at Infineon a lot of people go home. FYI the SpecE30 race is over at 3:40 Saturday.

#19

Do we have an indication of racers yet Scoot? Looks like weather will be good. I am looking for some good footage of the track backwards. BBQ on Saturday should be fun thanks to Bennett and you for getting it together.

Finally figured out I am supposed to push down on the right pedal more than the guy in front of me soooo…Excited for the 22nd!
