Thanks guys for a fun weekend. Great battling with Andy on Saturday and Derek on Sunday.
If any of you have video of the weekend I would love to watch it. My video did not work on Saturday and worked intermitently on Sunday, can’t fiqure out the new, SIMPLE, camera.

What were the final results? I was so tired by sunday afternoon my brain was dead. I did not have any idea where I finished Sunday, I think 6th.

Bennetts “thread the needle” was the scariest thing I have ever personally witnessed. I am so glad he is still with us! A “cork” of K-wall is there now.

How is TOny D? How is Bennett? With Bennett, Tony Ds crash and Tony the Tigers Fire and Ron’s blown engine we almost lost 1/3 of the field. What happened to Dan G?

I need answers! and video!

I’m fine, ego bruised, feeling lucky, car in ICU will know more by end of week. It was a wild ride in the GTS race battling Sean, Steven and Scott C which makes me crave more so I’m hoping to see all of you next month with some luck.

I hope your luck wasn’t used up!

Actually I think you bought yourself extra helpings with the amazing BBQ you put together Saturday night. A big round of applause to you and all those who pitched in and contributed.

It was good to see so many there. I think the total count far exceeded your estimates and yet you fed them all…kind of like Jesus feeding the crowds with some bread and Fishes. Hey maybe that’s how you found the hole in the wall!

You even made the skies clear up that night.

I have some video of the race Saturday…reeling in the black and white car and a little side-by-side action nearly everywhere on the track. You’ll be heartbroken Kevin - my old camera died coming out of T9 on our best lap - any gremlins that hit your camera also erased the evidence of my nice move on the inside of T8.

Anyhow I’m hoping to get it posted to Vimeo and the BTM Motorwerks Blog by tomorrow!

Looking forward to seeing the action! Bummer you didn’t get it all. We can’t yet figure our camera out yet, loose connection some where, maybe moisture issue on Saturday. I did get most of Sunday. I will post some of the battle with Derek. There is a glimpse of Brad. I hope Jim got his video. He should have some good action.

Update: Sunday battle w/ Derek on Vimeo. I will try to salvage some footage from Saturday.

Jim if you can get your video on a CD and mail to me that would be cool. I am planning on building a highlights/montage of the season so any video you guys can get to me I will add the best stuff and then creates CDs for everyone at the end of the season. Photos are also good to add. So e-mail them or snail mail CDs/photos/videos to me.

Kevin,

Fortunately, I am well. Thank you for asking. My car is junk, but a replacement is being built. Doug Johnson is graciously letting me race the #71 until the new car is finished, although I did have to promise to stay away from tow trucks.

Tony D.

Tony,

Good to hear! Sometimes a couple days after a big collision a guy ends up in the hospital. Glad to hear your safety equipment worked. Sorry to hear the car is toast. Yours was a beauty. Now we know the cage did not just look good.

We will look forward to seeing you in the 71! And I am sure you will figure out a way to make the next car even better!

Bennett,

How is your car? Can you save it. I hear Carl’s car is up for sale if some one needs one. and there is another car in Atlanta.

Ron,

What is up with your motor?

Hey if any of you guys have video bring it out. Jim and Brad, would love to see Sunday of you guys following Derek and I.

Andy, I posted what I could salvage from our little run together on Saturday on Vimeo.

My engine is a little limp. Maybe I shouldn’t have down shifted at 6,000 rpm …

I have another engine and there’s a chance I could get it into my race car in time for the June Infineon event. If not, I’ll still come out to the track to bother you guys.

Wow - sounds like it was a crazy weekend! Glad you’re okay Tony!! We had customer commitments at ALMS so I was unable to make it. I will be at INF on Sunday only (my niece’s 1st birthday is that Saturday and I wouldn’t miss it for the world!)
