Let’s try and stay at the same fleabag motel and have a good time in Monterey![/quote]How can you NOT have a good time in Monterey???

#24

I’ll be there on Sunday! I coming up from SoCal.

I just registered today and decided to run in HPDE2 since it’s my first time at this track and I don’t want any M3s running me over in the higher groups, LOL! I normally run in HPDE3.

If I can get all maintenance items done on my E30, I’ll be there with it else I’ll be driving my DD Civic Si. But I think the E30 will be a heck of a lot more fun to drive on that track.

I’ll make an effort to meet you guys. My E30 will never be Spec E30-legal but at least I can run with other E30s.

Hey Mike, look forward to meeting you there.

Cheers,
AJ

I WILL be there…I am putting my motor in on Friday…I am getting help with my door bars on Sunday, and have an appointment to get my logbook on Thursday morning…:silly:

#27

Thanks, AJ. I’ll be sure to say hi to you and the other E30 guys.

I just read where the sound limit will be 92dB at 50 ft. I’m not sure my E30 will pass as I have a Magnaflow Performance muffler (straight thru with perforated inner tube and packing). Not really that loud, IMHO, but I’m still not sure it’ll pass sound. I may just drive the Civic instead. Oh well.

Anyway, I look forward to meeting you guys.

I run a manaflow resinator where the converter once was and a magnaflow glasspack straight thru at the rear. I passed last year.Dont bring the civic!!!too bad your in group two all of us will be in four as far as i know.

how about a last roll call and where ya stayin?
Ryan and I are stayin at the hilton garden inn…
we will only be there on saturday…

#29

I’m registered at the Motel 6 right next to Denny’s on Hwy 1. I’ll be there both days.

Steve, what group is Ryan running? 3?

Brenden, now that’s dedication - really glad to hear you can make it!

Mike, bring the 30. It’s 92db, just bring a little steel wool to stuff up there in case you get meatballed, or one of those pimpy fart can tips from Kragen that you can turn away from the sound shack. I’ll bet it’s no problem - it’s a race track afterall.

Should we make plans for a pop somewhere Saturday night? Steve, do you know if NASA is going to do their traditional BBQ?

#30

no bbq cause its HPDE.
Ryan is in group 4
Kevin is in group 4
Alex is in group 4
I bought a stupid tip from Autozone last year and didn’t even use it. our cars aint that loud.
we all are showing up friday night and ryan, alex and I will be leaving saturday after the event.

#31

I will be there in group 4…so do I count four in group four and one in group 2? I can’t wait…

#32

Where do we want to be in the paddock? I will be there super early since I live here…I tend to like to be against the fence near the pit lane…

#33

Hey guys, good times out there last weekend. Glad to see all the interest building and had a great time running with y’all. See you in February.

That was exceptionally fun…Can’t wait for February…

AJ, Brenden good show. I am glad to have run with you guys. Dont fret yet though cause I am still coming to Ifineon to be a threat. I might drive Walters rental or Ryans spec car from www.tententhsmotorsports.com. Lets start a post for infineon and plan to grid close together. I plan on setting up a USTCC car for 2008 and also driving limited engagments with Goodsportracing. Also I have lined up another contingency sponsor for spece30 and will be releasing their name at Infineon.

#36

Steve thanks for helping me out, Glad you will be there in February. I think that makes seven cars for the first race…Is it a similar contingency deal to the two that we already have? I will make the thread so we can organize ourselves…

#37

For bench racing purposes, what kind of times are you guys running at laguna seca?

#39

Hey, it was nice meeting you guys from up north. I really like Laguna Seca and it was worth the 5 hour drive!

Sounds like Spec E30 is poised to takeoff this year in NorCal!

I’m hoping other 143.x was supposed to be 153.x, otherwise

I was pulling 1:56-1:57 in my video, looks like I have a ways to go
