I need the team drivers for each day, thanks.

Great racing with 27 cars each day. Enjoyed meeting all the new guys from SoCal as well. Some great racing all up and down the grid. 4 racers seperated themselves from the pack each day and set a very high bar for the rest of us. Congrats to BTM, Brad and Andy. Gary, Loren and Greg were right there as well.

The rest of us will have to step our game. I know I am amazed at how little tweaks to these cars can make a big difference in laps times and the handling Drama or lack of. The drivers still stand out as the most important part. I think the drop in weight will make a difference in lap times and part wear, although not a huge difference. It was challenging to determine where to take the weight from and I did not make the right choice on Saturday. Sundays movement of the weight was an improvement.

People had to make room in there trucks for all the prizes they were taking home! New trophys are cool! Wish I earned one. Thanks to everyone I ran side by side with. The weather was excellent, Infineon is such an enjoyable venue!

Ok Boys let’s work on our skills and give BTM a reason to look in the rear view mirror!

I just wanted to say thanks to the crew for making my rookie race weekend an awesome experience. I have a long way to go, but I am looking forward to the rest of the season.

Thanks,
Anil

Thanks to all for a great weekend as well - all the sponsors for kicking in with a spreadsheet full of swag, as well as Walter for the excellent trophies, and of course Brad for throwing me right into the fire first thing. I’ll link in pics, blogs, etc, once I get them all posted.

See you all in March!!!

#7

congratulations BTM the two of you drove great especially in turn 7. Now that was fun to watch! And what is your secret motor recipe?

#8

A 1:56.8 is the new track record set this weekend! I want to know what the secret recipe is for that motor! and the secret recipe for your chassis set up too?!? Why don’t you start parking with the spec E30 group? Come on over and join us, we won’t bite.

I have a feeling, the secret for all you top guys, is in what you do with your feet, hands, and eyes. You do it better than most of us.

Congrat on the wins B and A. Enjoy the top of the record sheet Gary! and your NorCal Championship!

Well, losing some weight out of the car certainly helps lap records, thanks to NASA for that rule modification. B)

What was interesting was that the field seemed to be spread apart much more than toward the end of last year. I think things will tighten up more as people get their cars dialed back in, get new tires, and get the grey matter back on the track. A few of the newer drivers I talked to hadn’t had a chance to do a good alignment and cornerbalance on their cars yet, so that’s a huge place for improvement too. And Brad and I are definitely available for help…though if you ask me a mechanically based question you’re likely to get slower.

I updated the BTM Blog with the event - enjoy!

Ok here is one of our power secrets.
The left one is what we use and the right one is the stock size. Were running a 500 CI 6 cylinder

Not really. I thought it was great how NASA was checking more things at Impound to enforce that we all stay leagal.

Like what Andy said, and you guys know us, I’ll help anyone out and tell you what I got setup. I want close racing too.

#11

that is a great photo Brad lmao. how many ponies are you guys putting out and what are the torque #'S. that start on Sunday was dazzling. i think that the practice starts and doing your circles you were doing out behind turn 7 prior to the race should be practiced by all of us so we could get off the line in the manner of the 91 car and driver team. once again you 2 drove incredible! and that is the truth WOW

Speed Secret #34652
Take your car to TBF, have proper alignment, camber & corner balance done.
Tim has the magic touch!

Also, to the few that aren’t pitting with “THE GROUP” you are really missing out on some good food. The tamales, carne asada & ribs were the bomb on Sunday.

#13

You saw that in 7. Your spi’s are good. I had to replace my front left from a major flat spot from qual. I had a old spare tire I was scrubbing in.
Thanks for the complement Gary!

#14

I didn’t hear about any of that killer food.

Steve, what did you get Dq’ed for?

#15

FOOD WHAT THE HELL!

HOLD ON MAYBE BRAD AND I WERE LUCKY NOT TO HAVE MEXICAN FOOD BEFORE THE RACE.

WHO WAS CATERING IT AND DID THEY EAT ANY? HAHAHAHA

Good morning Brad,
Actually, I am not sure what I got DQ’d for…I need to follow up with Jerry. Kevin Nichols & I were having a “battle royal” throughout Sundays race & with a lap or 2 to go racing in tandem, I tapped his rear up through T3 & helped his car step out causing him to spin over the top of the rise…With Kevin’s natural driving ability & talent he was able to recover, not hit anything & get going again, however I did gain his position…

did you eat the mexican food?
