Infineon Season opener 2/27-28/2010

Who is gonna be there? Scoot do you have a list yet?

Party at Ron’s sounds awesome! Welcome back Ron.

Duck Boy! is it looking like rain?

Anybody else running GTS? 1 or 2? we currently would qualify for 1 with only 142 hp but the Speed Trapp boys assure me they can fix my 246k motor, so Auz will run in GTS2. (at 2750 lbs you gotta be under 149 hp/tq). Jerry raised the price to supersize but it still helps fill up the weekend.

Here is who I have heard of so far:

  1. Steve
  2. Donny
  3. Scoot
  4. Ron H.
  5. Shoe (+ Austin GTS2)
  6. Tony w/Bad Kitty (+ Sean GTS2 w/Bad Kitty)
  7. Bennett “Duck Boy”
  8. Scott C (+ GTS)
  9. Greg P.

Here’s to everybody makin’ it through turn two!

Starting Feb 10 I will be watching trends for the weekend, I can say now it’s 50/50.

Better be carefull about the nick names, remember if “The Shoe” fits you might be wearing a new one!

Bennet, I have been accused of many things putting my shoe in the wrong place has been done often.

I like Duck Boy! You are good in the rain, you follow the weather, Boy is complimentary! you build beautiful Tribute cars! You are true to your school! I look forward to those wings you are bragging about. Ducks look calm but they are always working hard under the surface…

Keep us up on the weather.

Do you know of anyone else committed to running. I hope we have at least 20 cars! Greg, Mike, Doug, Kevin, Will, Carl, Brad, ???

Sounds like you expect heavy rain. What are the preparations you make for heavy rain? Anything that would be healpful about driving Infineon in the rain is appreciated.

Yes you may be helping your competition,…but you also maybe helping your competitors avoid running into you

  • have a set of tires with some tread on them
  • disconnect your rear sway to soften things up … maybe front too?
  • rainx your windshield.
  • pull a plug wire so you don’t have enough torque to get in trouble
  • make sure your wipers work.
  • make sure your heat/front defrost works
  • anti fog stuff on the inside of the windshield is a good idea too (rainx anti fog, or soap)
  • bring extra pairs of dry socks

There are rivers across the track by T1, and between T9 and T10. There’s usually a lake at the apex of T10. You’ll get used to hydroplaning through all of em. The section between T6 and T7 is uneven and puddly due to the texture change from the carousel to the drag strip and back. Be careful in the braking zone of T7, there’s a wall on the left and some puddles. Wet or dry, people like to spin in T2. Stay off the paint in T11 when it’s wet.

Oh yeah, drive smooth

#15

Just drive slower than me and all will be well!!!

#16

I need to stay in front of you this time, and I will not try braking on the paint…that did not work so good a year ago.

I won’t need to disconnect a plug Adam, as Tony Z has determined I am not using #2 cylinder already. If it is gonna’ rain at our first 2 events, that will work out great, since I have the least power of anyone, and probably can’t get my motor fixed until April. I hope it dumps the whole weekend!
