That’s the only thing I can think. It just wasn’t one of those things where you know you are getting in trouble and have to take action. It was going fine one moment, and then badly the next.

Umm, how? I watched the video. I saw you take your gloves off. I thought I would most likely get get yelled at for doing that. I called you on it.

Oh, just went back and reread the thread. I actually didn’t consciously connect the helmet thing with the glove thing but you’re probably right, somewhere my brain probably cheated. Plus I’m starting to get used to NASA yelling at you for lots of things that seem inconsequential to me. Like tiny little CCA stickers.

Ummm, that was definitely not an early enough apex to put you in the grass. Did you happen to lift when you dropped two at track out?

I def didn’t drop 2, and I was feeding in throttle. I think I just had too much weight over a sliding rear tire that was on a slippery surface (the curbing) while I was also trying to feed in throttle. Since the front was already getting pointed to the next apex, the car oversteered.

I feel fine. The body guy is looking at it today. Says he can get it done by Memorial day which gives me some time to put it back together.

Ironically, it cut the hose I loaned you . . .

Which reminds me, no one locally seems to carry anything except Dayco. The Dreyer and Reinbold guys would have to special order it. Pelican seems to have disabled their website. Could you live with Dayco or would you like me to have someone drop ship an OEM?

I gotta say Kyle, your exit looked like you were in the tracks of the E30 in front of you. My guess is that you were looking at his bumper as when that happens, you are a hair late on everything else that car does. Just a theory.

At Buttonwillow last week, I did the same thing and went off track because I was not looking through the turn or the car in front of me.

It pointed out a loss of focus and wanting to “race” the guy in front of me. The Red Mist started 3 turns back and I didn’t catch it.

Lesson learned.
