With the exception of the gear that I had stashed in Jon Stroup and Rich’s trailers, all my stuff got soaked at RA last weekend. I certainly got soaked at RA last weekend. I’m tired of mooching off folks for shelter. I want my own enclosed trailer. I did a bunch of research over the past week and I think my F150 can handle a 20’ enclosed trailer well enough. I’m going to try to resist the temptation to buy a new one, even tho half the trailer OEMs in the nation all seem to be here in S. GA. Hopefully one will turn up with cabinets, a nice interior, and AC.
I want an enclosed trailer
Everyone I know that has a 20 wants a 24 for a sedan…shop accordingly. Also, see below:

I’m in the market as well. I figure since I can’t race I can save some money towards Step 2 (enclosed trailer and off site race car storage). Wendy can’t wait to get the race car out of the garage. Open to ideas/suggestions. I’m leanting towards something in the 18-20 foot range as well.
i think 20 is enough, Scott manage to unseiwed an engine in mine, i am sure with a bit of thinking he’ll figure out how to change his engine in less than 2h in it too
How difficult to put a nice floor and walls into an enclosed trailer that still has a bare wood interior?
I personnally have never done it but I have a few friends like you (meaning determination > talent) who have done it. Estimate 50% more money and double the time that you think it will take, chill a lot of beer, pick a cool day (yeah right), and invite some halfway talented buds over. You’ll end up with a nice result.
Looking forward to you “build” thread.
Don
Enclosed trailer is the way to go! Shade + dry + warmer in winter + store your stuff + sleep inside +++. Definitely get one wired for 120V so you can plug in lots of goodies.
a friend of mine is selling his 2008 24’ Horton Hauler, very nice trailer and looks like new with lots of options
he is asking $7,000 OBO for it, and is in Warner Robins, Ga but he lives in Newnan so getting it up there should not be a problem
I just bought a 24’ Vnose, 1yr old. $2100 Was on ebay but the trailer was here in Savannah.
I’m out of town so Rich Bratton went by, checked it out and gave them a deposit. Apparently the side door is damaged and might need to be replaced. If figure at this price, if it turns out to be unworkable for my F150 even if lightly loaded, I can resell it w/o loss.
I’m curious to know how the F150 does with the enclosed trailer. Please post and update when you have taken a few trips with it loaded.
See this thread. OP is a Mid Atl SpecE30 type. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1498650
This link seems to be working. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2011-24-foot-enclosed-Gator-Made-car-hauler-/180949828117?pt=Motors_Trailers&hash=item2a21734215#ht_500wt_976

wow you must have put the glock to their heads. If I did it I would only have the sig 220 elite and they would have raised the price since my pistol looks so much classier than a glock.
Hmm. That’s a little unfair. Once the challenger issues the challenge, doesn’t the challengee get to choose the nature of the contest?
How about instead of just admiring our pistols, we shoot them? Not at each other mind you. I went thru a competitive pistol phase 15yrs ago that had me going to the range 3/wk trying hard to suck less. 1000rds/wk gets expensive tho, even with reloading.
Awesome eBay ad. The seller is “etheridgephotography” and he can’t seem to rotate the photos? 2 sideways and one upside down.
You deserve a break (and hopefully this is it), but I think I’d go over that thing with a fine toothed comb. Seller wasn’t a detail guy, obviously.
Nice catch, Scott.
I’m hoping your F150 can’t handle it so I can scoop it up. I didn’t realize it was possible to get an enclosed that cheap. I hope it doesn’t end up needing lots of money in repairs. How many times in a week do you think you could swap out the axle bearings on it?
