Hyperfest OR Mid-Ohio Roll-Call

#1

Hey guys,
July 8-9 is Hyperfest, AND is a Mid-Ohio weekend with NASA OH/IN.

The folks I’ve talked to want to stay close to home, so I’m encouraging drivers who race in both regions to race at Summit in July, then do Mid-Ohio in August.

I will definitely make the trip to Mid-Ohio on August 12-13, and I’m all signed up for Hyperfest in July. Please sign up EARLY for Mid-Ohio, as it is the last race there before Nationals and it will sell out! Sign up now! www.racenasa.com

As far as Hyperfest at Summit goes, let’s get a roll-call going:

  • Vic Hall, Racing, SO #325

Vic,
I have you registered twice…see if you were billed twice

#4

That’s strange. I think I only registered once, but I’ll double check when I get home today. Thanks!! It’s good to have the inside scoop

Is Chris going to make the races? I hope he’s not too busy coordinating the daisy dukes contest!

Also, who do we lobby for a 10am race on Sunday? The World Cup final in at 2pm!! The salazar boys will probably Tivo that bad boy, and head home with cell phones OFF.

I’m starting to hope that I’m not going to be the only Mid-Ohio-virgin at Nationals? I still think the "gentlemenly" thing to do would be for y’all out east to not spend your summer lapping Mid-Ohio - in the interest of giving those of us out west who will be heading out on track for the first time (ok, me) somewhat of a sporting chance.

Oh well - I guess I have my excuse already lined up!!! I guess if I keep talking I’m going to have to find a way to get there, huh?

Just kidding by the above, btw. Well, kinda at least.

Schedules are made by Chris and I am pretty sure he will race…I will probably be his pit B**ch that weekend and get the car ready to roll

#7

Sorry Steve, I need all the practice I can get  Don’t worry, when they hold Nationals at Laguna Seca next year, you’ll be MONEY!

Sean: thanks for the update. How much will it cost me to help set chris’ tire pressures?

-Vic

P.S. 2007 Nationals at Laguna is just my fabrication. I’m not trying to start any rumors.

I think you should all skip mid-Ohio on August 12-13 and come to Road Atlanta. it should be the first race for my new car I would love for a bunch of the Mid Atlantic guys to show up. mid-ohio is great but Road Atl too good to miss.

I am just gonna fill them up all the way Friday so he has enough to last the weekend…

Chris says we only have 10 Spec E30 cars signed-up for Hyperfest. Come on guys, we can do better.

I remember when 10 cars was a big Spec E30 field (and we’re a bit spread-out now) but they are expecting 6,000 spectators and Summit really is a fun track.

I’ll get on my Salazar boys to sign up. They LOVE to wait until the last minute

I know that Alex’s work schedule is jam packed, and he may only be able to make it as a last minute addition.

Looking forward to it!!!
