HPDE and NASA provisional licencing.

OK I should probably have found this somewhere amount the posts of specE30 and the NASA website but I hope I have this all corrct. Please tell me if I have any of this wrong.
I now have NASA membership. However, I cannot race until I have a NASA provisional licence (and technically this licence is only any good in my home region). In order to get a NASA provisional licence I need to go through HPDE 1 to 4 and then apply. I can take the HPDE stages in my daily driver and dont have to take it in the race car (its not ready yet) Correct so far?

Once I have the NASA Provisional licence I can then race in Spec E30 in my home region (and some other regions at their discretion I believe).

After 4 races with no incidents I can then apply for a full NASA licence.

Have I got all that right so far?

Thanks for any replies.

sounds like you got it so far.

But you do have to go through a comp. school in order to recieve your provisional license. That must me completed in a fully prepped race car.

Also, you don’t necessarily need to go through HPDE 1-4. You can go to comp school once you are in 3, or at least that’s what I was told and so I did that.
