How Many spec E30's nationwide?

#1

How big is this class nationally?

#2

I feel like there are at least 30 in the South East and 3 in Florida.

#3

Shoot, more like 45 in the SE, the same in MA…not everyone comes to every race…

#4

Current points standings in SE show 38 different drivers have scored points in 2010 so far (as of July at Charlotte anyway)

#5

There are about 12 active drivers in the Great Lakes region.

#6

About 10 to 12 in NE, and hopefully a few more next year.

The highest number we’ve had in a race is 19. There are new cars being built and some SE30’s are sitting idle…total for NorCal is probably 25-ish.

So it sounds like this:

MA 45
SE 45
NorCal 25
NE 12
Great Lakes 12
Florida 3

So it looks like at least 142 SE30s Nationwide. That is pretty impressive if you ask me.

#9

That is pretty good!

So in order to go to nationals to compete where do you need to be as far as points I would guess by the variance in participation per region that there is some kind of formula that is used?

You need 5 race finishes to participate. You need lots of track time and a damn good car to compete. Unless you show up in a “light” year like me.
