GRM SpecE30 car picked up in SE

#1

Didn’t want to scoop Damion’s newsflash he called me about yesterday, but figured he’s working this week so I’d spill the beans.

The GRM car was picked up (or is being picked up today)by a guy in Georgia, lives around the corner from Damion and me. He is an accomplished driver in another race series and will hopefully give you racers some more friendly competition.

I’ll leave it at that until he has time to introduce himself.

He lives a quarter mile from me, I heard he cut his teeth on a riding lawnmower.

#3

FF? That’d be cool.

#4

John I don’t know if I would quite use the word accomplished as his track experience consist of a national championship in Viper League Racing time trials and no wheel to wheel racing yet. I would think that he will eventually be a strong competitor, but going from 600hp to 170hp is going to be a shock:ohmy:

#5

170? So he has a cheater motor too?

#6

Oh, I thought the Viper thing was wheel to wheel.

That would indeed be cool, but no, not him.

I thought he lived over on Knob Hill Road. I guess that’s his business over there.

#9

So who is it that bought the GRM car?

#10

His name is Billy Gropp. He’ll be racing with us at CMP

Getting my ass kicked by a rookie is going to be hard on my self-esteem.

Think of it as researching my pals, not my opposition.

But you are absolutely right that I have too much time on my hands. My F**king car is still in the shop. All I’ve been doing for 7 weeks is sitting here and stewing. Now I’m sitting here seething, cancelling track day after track day, and getting more and more angry.

So the only thing left to me is to drive everyone crazy on the boards. A guy has to have some fun somewhere.

Ya ya. If you kick my ass, then you deserved the win and congrats to you. But if you lose, well, then know that behind my stoic facade will be one big shit-eatin’ grin.

Just buy mine so you have a back up!

Call Brendan Digel (at RWL German Imports in Atlanta): 404-588-1624. He hooked my car up with 162 at the wheels.

Good, fast and cheap. Pick two.

Ditto here can’t speak to any HP numbers yet, but conservatively Brendan and I think 200hp at the wheels, and that is 100% stock.
