Great Time in Drive-Gear Car This Week

I co-drove the PBOC Winterfest 6 hour enduro with the Drive-Gear crew in Florida last week, and it was a great time. Car was well set up, well prepared, and we won our class. Additionally, food and beer was in abundant supply, as were logs for the fire, which meant, after we were all fully lubed up, the flames got tall as we kept pitching firewood in.

Real enduros are a hoot, particularly in the dark. I would encourage all of you who haven’t already tried one to do so. Also, although Sebring is in my backyard, renting cars is a great way to experience new tracks that you couldn’t otherwise just trailer to.

I hope some of the rest of you are having your first race of the year sometime soon. Move to Florida, I’ve already had my first two of the year :slight_smile:

I second this. Had a great time this past weekend at Sebring with the DriveGear crew. Great cars, prep, team and entertainment! Would do again. tks guys.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It was a real pleasure working with Scott and Kish. After a weekend like this one I realize how lucky we are to get out and do these events. PBOC put on a great event and it all went very smoothly. It could have been a little nicer weather wise but at least it stayed dry for the whole event. Please put Sebring on your must do list, its worth the trip.

Fred, sorry I wasn’t around much after Friday, I got sick as a dog Friday night and wound up sleeping most of the remainder of the weekend. I’m still pretty beat right now. I had really wanted to get mixing it up in the sprint races over the weekend, but it just wasn’t meant to be. Still had a great time otherwise.
