Good find at the dump

#1

Last Christmas, Santa brought an Razor scooter to Carter Jr. It’s the E100 rechargeable seen at Pep Boys, Target, etc. with the fold-down handle

I was making a run to the dump Monday morning and saw one in the Scrap Metal bin. It looked about as good as Carter’s so I asked the attendant about it. "Ya ain’t spossed to take anythin’ out."

Seeing how he’s about 150 years old and dental hygiene wasn’t a priority during his younger life, I waited until he got busy and put the scooter into the MPV.

I got it home and checked it out, thinking it would be good for running around the paddock. After a few adjustments, I charged it for four hours. The battery still read .3 volts so I ordered a new battery. Later that night, Carter plugged-in his scooter and I saw the charger click on. I quickly pulled it out of his scooter and plugged it into mine.

Four hours later and it’s fully charged. Cancel the new battery.

Whoo-Hoo…a new track toy.

Our dump has a "too good to throw away pile" that is run by the landfill.

Half the time the stuff I leave never stays and is loaded before I am gone. Maybe I should eBay that stuff.

I have gotten some great stuff. Kids sandbox, File cabinets for garage storage, a welded aluminum tool cart on casters.

Better to recycle than put in the landfill!!

There’s a website for free or almost free stuff. Basically a virtual landfill. I can’t remember the url though.
