thought someone here may want to pick up a good in-car camera
Good deal on a Mini DV Camera
How did I know that Beertech would be down with Woot? When you see a flying monkey, you let this Salazarian know. I hear they’re the hot setup.

I have one of those. It’s a decent camera and it’s perfect for in-car shots. It lacks in the bells and whistles department though. FWIW I use a Zr65 w/fisheye for my in-car stuff.
Agreed, the fish-eye lenses are a MUST for in-car video. I don’t remember what I got, but it was a 30-40 ebay special for my Sony.

For under $200 shipped… I thought that would be all the bells and whistles most SE30 guys would be looking for.
BTW: I like the new camera set up you’re running. I bet it looks even better on a large screen.
You run in-car video?? Wouldn’t have guess from all the videos you post up. :silly:
Sure would be nice to see a view from the front. . .

It looks 10 times better when it’s un-compressed. But a 20 min race is about 30GB.
This is a good deal - one thing that is useful, but I am not sure if this camera has it, is remote control. It would suck if you get all buckled up and can’t reach ‘record’ button…

Couldn’t agree with having a remote as mandatory option enough. With a digital video tape (what I use) being 60 minutes and battery time being who knows what at times it helps so much to hit the record button when ready to roll on the remote instead of planning your buckling in time around turning the camera on by hand. Helps to take a little more stress out of the begining of a session.

Woot has something else up today!!![/quote]
FYI - Woot sells one thing a day. They have some good deals occasionaly, and some silly things too. I’m not affiliated in any way, but I do spend the beginning of each day on their website. Today they have a large LCD tv.
