Had a little chucking in my fronts and decided to put new wheel bearings on. Got the old hub, bearings, and races out of the one side and started to put the new assembly on. The axle nut is hand tight and the hub is already a little hard to turn by hand. Is this right? Did I do something wrong? I know I have to torque it down to ~210 ft/lbs, but if it’s hard to spin already, I can’t imagine it would get better as I tighten.
front wheel bearings
nevermind, i pulled the hub off and “reset” all the races and bearings and the thing went on just fine. i must have had something get screwy in my first attempt, it really is as easy as it sounds to do these bearings.
