Flywheel Resurfacing

Is it nessary to replace the flywheel when replacing the clutch? Or can it be resurfaced? I have a 1990 325i. Thank you

just needs a resurface, they make kits to do it yourself or you can get it done at a machine shop its usually $25-40 bux.

Thanks my shops telling me I need to replace it, my clutch is fine its just my berrings are shot.
