looks like fun!

What intake and exhaust are on the car - sounds nice.

cheers,

just a filter and the rear exhaust was removed. It still has the tiny stock piping though. I agree i think it sounds pretty good but it can’t be flowing as good as maybe 2.5 inch dia piping.

The Art Carâ„¢ lives!

your post got me wondering if a dual 2.5" pipe exhaust would be allowed.
9.3.4.1. Any part of the exhaust system beginning with and including, the catalytic converter may be replaced, unless a replacement system is specified in these regulations, provided: [snip]

with "replaced" meaning:
8.5. "Replaced" means that the item may be replaced with items meeting or exceeding OEM specifications.

so, does a 2.5" pipe, since it is larger than stock, meet or exceed OEM specs?
cheers,
bruce

VERY NICE!!!

I am so glad you guys are out using it. It sat way too much last year and I am so pleased you plan on driving the hell out of it.

Video really made my day!!!

Everytime I ever went to pungo it rained. I love running in the rain, but it makes for a miserable time when you aren’t.

Ric,

The art car is definitely alive and we will begin our journey with it at VIR in Feb. Mike is in comp school on Friday and I will do the HPDE on Sat/Sun with hopes of doing comp later in the year.

Hoping to see you at the track soon.

Bruce:

Yes, a 2.5" diameter pipe size is legal because it meets or exceeds OEM specifications as defined as "replaced" in the Rules.

Just make sure the design of the exhaust system, per the Rules, is legal.

PUNGO LIVES!

Glad to see they’re having autocrosses there, but does enough of the old Navy airfield exist to have a proper race track?

Stationed in the Tidewater area late 70s-early 80s and went to the Strawberry Festival (or something related to vegetation) with my daughter in '00 while visiting friends down there, but I couldn’t go exploring…
