E30 convertible for sale?

#1

In shuffling some cars around, it looks like my wife has laid claim to my X5 so I am looking for a cheap daily driver. Does anyone have a good condition E30 convertible for sale? I prefer a 5 speed, 1989 or later. Any color except black exterior. Prefer beige interior. The closer to Atlanta the better.

Thanks,

Steve D.

PS - I might consider an E36, but I am of the opinion that the E30 is a more solid car and the prices for the E36 are higher. Plus a 1989 or later E30 would mean I already have a bitchin’ set of spares.

You wish I was selling my car.

Been there done that. They leak, they’re noisy, they’re not convenient.

Go with a 2 or 4 door and perhaps we can scare something up.

Love my '89 lowered, 4 door AUTOMATIC car. If only I could get the A/C not to leak out.

Logically and rationally, I agree. But I really miss having a convertible. Other than sunny days, this car would only make trips from the garage at home to the garage at work or the garage at the airport, so I can live with a less-than-watertight top. I just need something with a bigger back seat than my P-car.

PS - John, that car is beautiful. I’m hoping to find one that could look like that but needs some TLC.

You’ll look sharp driving around Midtown in your convertible. Maybe a boxster is more your speed?

I’d get another Boxster in a heartbeat, but I need a back seat for the kids. I need a car old enough to match my Vuarnets and white pants, hence the E30 'vert. Maybe I’ll buy a couple beater Miatas and graft them together to be a four-seater 'mo-mobile.

Chrysler makes a sharp Sebring convertible that would have room for the kids.

Allow me to summarize.

Mazda Miata - gay
Porsche Boxster - rich and gay
Chrysler Sebring - old and gay
BMW 325 - mechanically inclined and gay

I have a '94 e36 325ic Dinan conv’t I’ll part with. It has 72K orig miles, black w/tan int, BBS wheels, 5 speed, etc. Patton has seen it, and I could send some pics if you might want an e36.

I"ve seen Travis’ car and aside from the chrome rims it was really nice.

Probably your least ‘gay’ option.

So actually not at all what you’re looking for…

Aren’t you worried about losing your Hairpiece?:stuck_out_tongue:

Unlike Travis’ race stuff, the e36 he has is really nice. Really.

I was surprised to see Travis in it, if you know what I mean. It is worth a conversation with the possum king.

+1 on that. I saw Travis in that nice E36 convertible. Didn’t seem to match; kinda like pickles on spaghetti or sumthin.

So, simply to restore order in the universe, Travis should sell it.

Alternatively a 95 5.0 mustang vert maybe sharp you can roll Ice Ice baby style.

Of if that is too much car a nice vw beetle bug would make a nice statement too.

John, What the hell, I get no credit for making that car as beautiful as it is?

Gosh, I could have sworn I put new seats, new top and new carpet in it at the same time.

I drive an iC everyday, a great all around car. They are noisy with the top up but other than that they are great, I even have a hitch on mine…
