Donor Car FS

#1

Anyone looking for a donor car?

I am talking to a guy locally that has an 87 325is that I may buy to flip. Since it is an i s it obviously has the LSD, front air dam rear spoiler, and some other saleable items like Eibach springs, Bilstiens (not sure if they are the right ones), and sport seats. It needs paint (it is actually already primered and ready for $300 garish paint job).

I am scheduled to look at it Wednesday morning.

$300.00 for a paint job? You may want to call Jim Pantas, he couldn’t have paid more than $20.00 for his paint job.

let me guess, another roller paint job?

I don’t think it was a roller, pretty sure he used his neighbor’s power sprayer, but I would have gone with the flat latex instead of the semi-gloss; but thats just me.

I know someone in NC who is looking for a car. Where are you, and the car?

I would be remiss in not mentioning there is a heck of a nice spec e30 race prepared car on ebay with the auction ending very soon.

Update:

I need to make a decision to buy or pass on this car.

87 325is
120,000 miles indicated. Actual unknown but the owner claims to have a stack of service records from the previous owner. I have not seen these yet.
Body (in Primer gray) looks straight. Was Bronzit originally.
Front Airdam and rear deck spoiler in place.
LSD verified
Stainless brake lines
Drilled rotors
Correct Bilsteins
Eibach springs - need to be changed.
Has 17" after market wheels that I plan to sell. I am offering with 14" bottle caps.

The bad - Broken drive shaft and shifter. May require whole tranny to fix.
Also - the sunroof (works) shows some rust.

AS is - where is (Clearwater, FL) $1000.00

If I fix the drive shaft / shifter and get it streetable I may (stress may) be able to deliver this car to Mid-Ohio Nationals. The price will depend in how much I have to spend to get it going (I am hoping that I can get it going for $500) so the running price would be $1,500.00 or so.

I am hoping one of you guys needs a car/parts and gives me the incentive to fix it and deliver it.

Any Interest?

I’ll pass it on and will let you know if he’s interested.

No title donor/parts car available in Tennessee on Ebay right now, item number 200150100002.
Has Borbets but missing some engine parts. Just passing along in case someone can use it.
