Directions for water pump and timing belt change?

#1

I have a small water pump leak. Has anyone written directions on how to make this easiest? Ive been told to change the timing belt while I’m that far in. Any preferred brand of parts for the water pump and the belt?

Pretty much have to remove all hoses and radiator and upper timing belt cover to get to it… Just did it last weekend for the umpteenth time. Make sure all old gasket material is removed from pump and block. Haven’t done the timing belt it can’t see why you wouldn’t.

Or use the water jug fix. Carry a water jug, fill it, fill cooling system when needed.

Good time to swap cam/crank seals while everything on the front is off. Not sure how common the crank seal becomes an issue, but I’d heard cam seals can commonly have the slow oil leaks, so I swapped that one when I first bought the car.
