Nothing like a rainy 40 degree day to go racing.
It narrowed down the field to only one.
Congrats to Sean.

Thanks Paul, it was good to meet you this weekend. Hope to see you back out there soon as possible.
Like Paul said, It wasn’t the warmest weekend, but the track was fun. Sunday morning practice and qualifying were both wet but the track wasn’t too bad. Everything dried out for the race though so that was nice.
Congrats to Chris also on doing great in his first ever race. It was definitely a tricky one to deal with too. About 2/3 of the way through Saturday’s race we had to have a restart after a car got stuck in some gravel (Watkins Glen won’t do hot pulls) but the pace car was sent out at the wrong time so all of the fast cars (500HP+ Evo and a GT3 with twin turbos were two of them just to give an idea of the speed differential) were actually behind the slower cars for the restart. So for 2 laps after the restart it was just a firestorm of fast cars flying by on both sides and navigating around the slower cars. For a rookie it was probably close to a years worth of traffic driving in about 5 minutes. Interesting to say the least.
Over the course of the weekend we had 4 cars at the track, Chris and I racing and Paul and John in DE getting ready to join the fun next year.
Good job Sean, it was a pleasure to meet you.
Thanks for the tire - beer’s on ice man.
Take care
John
