For those of you that wear cool shirts, what version did you install and why? Do you know of a place that has the best prices? Anything you would do differently this time?
Thanks,
Jon

I have the Canterbury Special.
Wal*Mart cooler, Lowes hoses, sump pump, Cool Suit shirt… plugged into the defroster wires which uses the defrost switch (now the froster switch) to turn it on.
Contact Steven540 for details.

how do you run the hose? do you crack the lid or drill in a hole?
Mine is home made as well. Drilled holes in side near top lip, used gromets + silicone. I believe tubing was 3/8", got sump pump from marine store, quick disconnects from McMaster Carr.

Tom and I both have them, actual Cool Shirt products! We actually sell them and can/will price them.
We use the large (12 qt.) soft side cool and it’s very easy!
Call me with any questions.

btw, it would be easy to make but the shirt is the bulk of the cost anyway, and you don’t want to make a shirt!
You guys wear a shirt when you’re racing? That’s probably why you get hot. I just wear my suit and nothing else. That’s why Jones follows me around the paddock before we grid.

Jeff, don’t pay any attention to Sasha. His idea of a cool shirt is rhinestones, fringe on the sleeves and a lace collar.

That does sound cool. Do they still make rhinestones?

Absolutely! I’m pretty sure IndyJim has a Bedazzler he can bring to the track for those of you who know what that is. He’ll have you looking like a figure skater in no time!

or Ricky Bobby
Your intimate knowledge of such things is…<dramatic pause, camera pans to close up>…disturbing.
Yeah, Bruce, when we thought you were only a rules wonk, it was all good, but I think we’re now frankly afraid to plumb the depths of your stores of trivial and disturbing knowledge.
Bet you’re hell at Jeopardy though!

Jeff,
I’m sorry to throw you a curve. I was joking, but my humor isn’t always normal. What scares me is that I think the Rev. Al Taylor usually understands what I’m getting at.
Sasha
Bruce I’m pretty sure a bedazzled cool shirt would be a fire hazard. The chinese resin they use to make the rhinestones sparkle is highly flammable. And the applicator is probably lead so JP would try and eat it.

Sasha, VERY good reason to be SCARED!
