Who was the DE (E30) youngster that was hanging out with us in the paddock? He was having some engine management issues and talked to the group of us several times about them. He ended up with my spare O2 sensor.

Before comp school I still need a window net, fire extinguisher, and a suit. If anybody happens to have one of those items they’d like to get rid of please let me know.

Buying suits used can be challenging. The charm of buying a used suit is that the nice ones are much cooler in the Summer then the cheap ones. The downside is that it can be hard to get one that fits reasonably well. I’ve bought 2 used suits, but only the 2nd one fit well. Each mfr has their own sizing scheme.
The way to go about it is to research high-end suits and pick 8-10 mfrs/models that you think would be workable solutions. Then figure out the mfr sizing schemes for those on your list. Then watch ebay, racingjunk, NASA and other club classifieds, and use Searchtempest to do nation-wide Craigslist searches. I ended up paying $300 for a $1800 suit that came with gloves and shoes. Then I sold the shoes.
That said, mid-$$ suits get better and better. A $600 suit today probably uses materials as light and cool as a $1200 suit 8yrs ago. So a new mid-$$ suit isn’t a crazy idea.
