i also got passed while the red was displayed on the front stretch by a TR. Then once back to double yellow he stayed in front of me and his car ran two laps while the car smoked heavily before the green.

Really, guys, was the 94 one lap down?
If so ,I will talk with Pantas about the driver because his/her driving was TOTALLY unacceptable, inappropriate,and STUPID. Correct me if you feel differently.
Not that it was that much better if it was for position, but that is another topic for another day.

In my opinion, going 4 off on the straight is not as sketchy as squeezing the #68 out of the kink completely.

Overall a great result for me for the weekend all things considered. My diff was screwed with a break around 34lbs. I was spinning out of all the important turns. Time for a rebuild. I had a mid/low 1:52 PR and felt better on track than my last race even with totally parking in T8 all weekend. I qual 6 on Sat and finished 6th. I was DQ in qual for Sun which meant more fun in race from p11 and I finished 5th after Rob was dropped for the punt on Paul.
Here’s my vid of the first lap of Sunday and the last two laps including the restart. On the first lap after restart you can see PP going for a ride in turn 8.

Restart caught me out, but I got past Guthrie.

Those guys did you a favor. In the seconds before the Red I was working to get those guys past me as easily as possible. I slowed before 14 and waved at them to go by. I wanted to make sure I had a clean 14 and a clean 1 while they gave you guys, just ahead, trouble that I might capitalize on.
But then the Red came out. That’s ok, I thought, they’ll give you guys trouble when we get Green.
But then they passed you under Red. So much for them giving you trouble when we get Green. At the time I was grinding my teeth at the demise of my scheme.

Wasn’t there, and no dog in this hunt, but I think the blue/white TR Sonny was battling with was really #941, not #94. Guess there were two #94’s that showed up and one got the electrical tape third digit:

I’ve been talking to Randy the TR director about this. He says we have car # confusion re. 94 because they were playing musical drivers and car #'s, and that the 2 cars were on the same lap fighting for position. I’ve seen SpecE30’s make passes of out-of-class cars by going 4 in the grass and we were giving him high 5’s, not harassing him.
A TR squeezing another TR off the track is more their problem then ours. Until their chaos collects one of us, I suppose.
Me personally, I think passes in the grass and squeezing off the track are unacceptable. But we as a class have a history of this sort of thing ourselves, therefore it’s not reasonable for us as a class to criticize them as a class for ass-hat moves. Heck, most folks in NASA think we invented ass-hat moves.

I personally think the TR fight was awesome, I was really excited watching that show, still not cool squeezing Sonny out, but that’s just a comment among ourselves of what not do to each other. I’m sure they can handle their own business 
I still want to drive a TR at CMP :laugh:

So, this boils down to the TRs drive like crazy men, but we do too, so therefore it’s all cool and collectively we’re not going to call out these behaviors? I don’t like that approach.

Not my role to call them out. The day I don’t feel comfortable racing in this series, is the day I find another club to race with. There are plenty out there.

That’s not how I would put it.
We perceive they sometimes drive like ass-hats. They perceive that we sometimes drive like ass-hats. IMO both are right. As a result, we don’t do anyone any good when we say “TR’s drive like shitheads”, just like they don’t do any good when they complain that we drive like shitheads.
Because both sides are tarred, it starts a pissing match when we complain like that.
I think the way to improve things is to point to a specific incident and bring it to their attention with video goodness, while at the same time, encouraging them to bring their bitches to us in the same manner. That way neither group is calling the other group a bunch of shitheads. Instead we’re helping them control their worst offenders, just like we’d benefit from their help controlling our worst offenders. That’s helping each other, which will be rec’d much better then us bitching at them.
Of course the whole “helping each other” schtick only works if it’s genuine. If it’s just a facade for bitching it won’t fly.
