Unless THEY get a wild hair and decide to register for the race.

If I win I they smooch with me. If they win I smooch with them. It’s all good.

Just send photos of the front so I can see what it’ll look like in the mirror. :stuck_out_tongue:

Signed,

I’d love to do the enduro, but that’s another $250 on what has been a $2,000 week. I guess not that much more, but jeez, when does it stop?

Don’t answer that, I know - it doesn’t

Jones if you want to wrench that bad we’ll be in Geegar’s / DTOM HQ garage pulling my car apart tomorrow.
I’ll gladly come to the ATL to help you out if you fly me down there. Watching the two of you bumble around the engine bay would be good for a laugh but it’s not worth a 3hr drive.

I see that Bob Chrystler, a casualty of RA Miata Madness last summer, is signed up for the Instructor clinic. So he apparently has his car fixed. Hopefully he will be back racing with us soon. I pity the next Miata that starts hugging his rear quarter panel.

He has a different car now. I forget which event, but I saw him at VIR in the Nov/Dec timeframe. It was not fully race prepped and I don’t know what his latest thoughts are about returning. Hopefully soon.

Moberg, Greg
Jones, Brian
Haynie, John
McMennamy, Scott
Switzer, Fred
Gress, Scott
Canterbury, Steven
DeVinney, Steve

We need more drivers and more smack! Will Geiger and IndyJim patch their cars back together in time? Will Damion pull a sneak attack and sign up last-minute?

Steve D.
Add both Pattons to the list. We are always under the official NASA radar screen.

See you there!

That list was old. As of this afternoon I see:

Moberg, Greg
Patton, Robert
Jones, Brian
Reznikov, Alex
Taylor, Charles
Haynie, John
McMennamy, Scott
Switzer, Fred
Gress, Scott
Canterbury, Steven
DeVinney, Stephen
Levie, Jim

I presume Lara will be there, which makes the current count 13. But there’s only one Spec E30 listed for the enduro (Gress/Switzer), which just won’t do. Anyone want to co-drive with me in the enduro (co-funding is negotiable)? Just keep in mind that the car has some “minor quirks” and that I have a fixed position (I’m 5’8/150lb) Sparco Evo. So being long on enthusiasm and a bit short on common sense* in addition to fitting into the car would be a plus.

 • That describes just about every racer I know and certainly applies to all Spec E30 racers!

I’m at the exact stage you are in. I’m now planning on going to CMP for the comp license and still debating about the enduro. The e30 took a beating after my dad and I drove a combined 6 hrs at Sebring over the weekend.

#53

Me and a buddy installed the fire system in my car in about 2-3 hours. I used the SPA 6 nozzle,4L,$295 model Bimmerworld sells. It wasn’t that difficult. If you can find a spare oem battery cable to use from the trunk to the switch you can save some time with the switch. Gives you a nice factory end at the battery and at the lug under the hood. You just have to solder the lugs on where you install the switch.

We should test it to see if it works. Have you got matches?

#55

I am slow with the credit card, but I’m planning to be there for the sprints. So add me to the list. Watch out you mid-pack hustlers, I’ll be in your mirrors! If there weren’t so many of you I might contend for 6th:(

Well add one more to the list for CMP! I just registered for the weekend and still trying to see if we can make it up for Friday’s test and tune.

Since our FL race at Starke was canceled for the second time and gas prices are down, we dedided to make the trip up for our first SE race! Yahooooo

If anyone has a CMP traqmate race file they are willing to send me, I’d appreciate it. If I can’t make Friday’s sessions at least I have an idea of speeds before I’ve gotta go out and qualify!

See ya in what two weeks?

Gary, welcome to the SE region.

Another new name on the entry list, Alex, welcome.

Can someone that types faster than 3 words/minute put together a list. New thread?

Just trying to get it in one easy place so that Damion will know how many people that he is going to finish ahead of.

Or saving up for some non-SE competition at VIR?

Skeen, what are your plans for 2009?

Just got home and found my new Spec E30 exhaust waiting for me at the door. This is going to be a busy Saturday, install the cut off switch, install exhaust and right side window net. Get to BRE in time to get the log book…But damn I’m getting excited!

To the other two rookies taking the Comp School - watch out for me! I will not be last!!!
