CMP Smack Talk Thread

I picked up my car this weekend…with all new rocker arms. That means I intend to kick butt at CMP.

Discuss at your leisure.

Good luck Bill. You’ve spent, what, 10min in your car 2010? You’re gonna be awfully rusty. Turn 1 is a left turn.

How many girls are you bringing?

Not counting yourself, Bill. Carry on.

Ouch. Way to beat a guy when he’s down. Dang!

Bill, point Steve towards your whole “I’m a lawyer and I like guns” Facebook thing. That’ll show him you’re reasonably well adjusted.

I ever mention that my junior year in HS I was elected homecoming queen? One of these days I’ll have to tell that story.

#5

Only one girl this time…the one I am engaged to. :woohoo:

I think 10 minutes would be an overstatement, Scott. I have a little rust, but even with some rust, I plan on beating Miata-boy!

#6

I can feel me drinking a lot of alcohol that weekend. You know what that means…

Why not now? Inquiring minds want to know!

Oh no, that’s not it at all. When the boys get liquored up the hormone spigots get turned on. One minute we’re all laughing over badmitton antics and the next, everyone <40 is thumping chests and throwing down.

Meanwhile those of us >40 and every girl within 50m was rolling their eyes. All your dates started hanging out with us and muttering something about “real men”. Something to think about.

Seriously tho, Bill, congrats on the engagement.

If I get a couple beers in me I’ll tell the HS homecoming queen story. It almost turned ugly. I was just a little guy and the whole football team was seriously pissed. I was sweating that one. Apparently “Homecoming” is like some sacred institution or something .

I am truly happy you decided to show up for a race finally. Unfortunately, I can’t make it. I’ll take a rain check and see you in December.

Since I am racing at VIR the weekend before IFU, I am checking with the second string guys to see if they can fill in. Could be a bad weekend for them. We stripped the Grand Am car in, like, March but they are saying that early November is going to be crunch time.

I suspect Craig is actually going to be busy putting together the new Kit-N-Den™ for his new cat that’s arriving in December.

With possibility of that story as a teaser, I predict that you’ll be well supplied with beer!

Steve,
you are nothing but a big sissy (no offense intended to you, Bill)… you’re just creating an excuse to go and hide because you don’t want to get shown up by what’s bound to be the larges field in Spec E30 history. It’s OK to be intimidated. but be honest. You’re not showing up because you’re chicken.

Resume the smack

If that is the most persuasive you can be, it’s no surprise your wife didn’t let you race for a whole year.

PS - It’s McKay’s fault. Ever since he called us all “broke ass ragamuffins” that’s exactly what I’ve become.

Yo Steve

I am racing at VIR in the 13 also, team owner, built the car, managing the effort and am still going to make CMP…

I imagine you are driving up in your Turbo, gonna drive a few hours, then drive back home…

Usually these smacktalk threads turn into childish chest thumping, but this one is on it’s way to comedy gold. We just gotta keep Jones and Tower out of it for another page or two.

I have b33n pwn3d.

Al, you are my hero. I’m going to be even more jealous of you in a couple months when you start your Snowboard Tour 2011.

When I grow up (and/or end up on several offender registries) I want to go almost off the grid like you.

PS - Do I get any credit for the fact that I’ll be camping at VIR to save a few sheckles?

No snowboard tour this year…cause…

The poontangler goes to Europe for 2011.

Place your orders now for e30 tourings. Also will be a tourguide for anyone that wants to visit Amsterdam.

Camping??? at VIR? Does that mean you will have a garage suite as opposed to a villa?
