Very Cool Stuff…
I strolled around the Performance and Racing Industry trade show yesterday in Orlando and happened across a simulator where the guy was driving VIR in a Skip Barber Formula Ford (or Dodge as it may be these days). The offered to let me have a go. Having never been to the track I used these videos in the back of my head as a reference. Despite a few off course excursions I didn’t do too bad thanks to you.
I definitely need to get up there and drive that track this year. It looks like loads of fun.

It really is alot of fun. The rear facing camera view really shows the awsome elevation changes.
I must admit that I’m rather shocked that the sTi cannot pull you on the back straight after Oak Tree. Those WRX sTi’s have just about double our horsepower, no? And while I’m not surprised you have more stick through Oak Tree, it doesn’t look like you open up a big enough gap that I wouldn’t expect him to pass you as you wind out through 4th gear. I know in my e36 M3 that e46 M3’s would walk right past me here, and they only had about 40% more hp than me, not 100%!

i’m not sure why he wasn’t catching me. Or maybe he was staying behind to watch me for some reason. I’m not really sure.
Here’s some footage from inside peter fuller’s 06 sti (chin master instructor/second place in one lap of america a couple of years back).
