Championship winning #410 For Sale

#1

Gang -

After a couple seasons of trying to run both my Spec E30 and Spec Miata, I’ve come to realize that my track time will be even more limited next year as my girls get older and busier.

I have had an absolute blast racing with Spec E30 and treasure the friends I’ve made. I will still be around but since I can’t show up for every weekend I will be splitting SM Series Director duties with JTower next year.

I’ll try to answer any questions you may have about the car.

I understand that there are cheaper cars available. If you have priced a tub-up, no excuses car, you know this is a fair price for a championship winning car - one that is not beaten up and worn out.

Dude, that sucks so goddamned bad. I am really bummin.

#3

Christ man, who can I argue with about splitters and hit at Nationals? Good luck with the sale I’ll pass it along, hopefully someone slow buys it.

#4

Thanks for the kind words guys. Don’t worry - I’ll still be around the paddock. Just don’t leave the keys in your Spec E30. These things are fun and I might not be able to help myself!

Lovely car Steve… Your posts are always well recieved and well read. Good luck with your devotio to SM… Please lose to my friend Brian Domont when you make it to Nationals.

Thank you for your efforts with the series.

that’s a steal for a very well built car. good luck with sale steve!

#7

This means Tower is also leaving SpecE30 or have we developed an interesting tradition where SpecE30 somehow “controls” SM?

#8

All you should read into Tower’s helping me out is that I’ve found someone willing to help me wrangle Miata drivers. He likes CMP, I like Road Atlanta. We will split the other races.

In spite of the great prestige, there’s a limited number of guys who want to be SM series director.

#9

That is a bad ass car.

#10

i have a feeling that all of the SM cars i inspect will have illegal restrictor plates, at which point i’ll hand out the correct 15mm ones. that should help keep those pesky buzz bombs fading away in our rearview mirrors.

#11

Truth be known, Steve got wind that I really DO have a Spec E30 nearing completion and he is just plain skeered, nuff said.

Awesome car. Well done example of what spec e30 should be.

Do you have any more pictures for me to ogle?

#14

He might be scared, of you running into him when he laps you!

#15

Clearly you have me confused with the other overweight-middle-aged racer in SPEC E30, his car is pink.

#16

If I did it right, here are some photos:

That’s one fancy lawn mower! :stuck_out_tongue:

#18

Yet another one scared away.

All I need to do is convince Curran, Thibault and Grace that there are some other series they should be running and I’ll be finishing up front no problem.

Good luck with the sale Steve. Hope to see you around the paddock.
