As much as I love borrowing your great tools, Sears is having a sale right now so I figured that I might try to pick one or two things up. Do you know what model cordless impact wrench you have? that thing worked really well.

thanks.

Hi Jon,
Sorry for the delay in response - I just returned from China last night. For some reason I cannot access the SpecE30 website from over there. This was un an expected trip that pre-empted going to Roebling - wonder if I’ll ever get there…

The model is the "Craftsman Professional" (sku # 26825). Its an 18v unit. Hope they have it!

I’m still scheduled for Summit - will you be there?

thanks for the info. I will look it up now.

the doc gave me the ok, the MRI showed a tear in one of the rotator cuff tendons. for now no surgery and just physical therapy for 6 weeks, then we will evaluate again to see what is needed.

looking forward to seeing everyone in less than two weeks.

Makita makes a 24volt Impact Wrench (BTW200) and an Impact Driver (BTD200) - the Driver has a small hex socket end on it to take screwdriver bits. These wern’t selling well so they were clearing them out for less than $200. It turns out that there are only about $30 in parts differences to turn that driver end into a real 1/2" impact wrench end. The Impact Wrench is still selling for north of $550!

It lasts me for multiple tire swaps all weekend, and even takes the nuts off my Suburban which are torqued to 135 ft lbs.

I know this sounds a little silly, but do you know the exact parts I would need to convert it?

I’m pretty sure it was just item 26, the anvil. I don’t have a detent ball though, so that may be item 27 (I assumed the detent ball came with the anvil and haven’t bothered to pursue it further).
