That’s pretty cool. Did you read the rules any? They test motors then "seal" them with a scrutineer’s wire that goes through holes in the valve cover and oil pan bolts (section 5.4.x). I wonder how well that works.

They also only use the 318i (M40) and 320i (M20), allow lots of suspension modifications (comparatively), and run a lot lighter. I bet it’s a fun series, though probably can get a little more expensive with the coilovers and such.
