Anthony - The major instigator of bitching on that thread was bent out of shape about one incident that happened to him four years ago. Most of the damage I have seen in the SE is from mixed-class racing. That shouldn’t be a problem at Nationals. The event offers plenty of sessions to get to know your competitors before you need pointy elbows.
Almost every bad first lap SE30 wreck I have seen is when cars are 3 wide and not all 3 drivers realize it or leave ample room for it.
Guys, on the first lap ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS assume that there is a car on the other side of the one next to you. After a couple laps of sorting then you can start moving people with your car.
