BimmerWorld 2011 - NASA-SE SE30 Sponsorship!

#1

I’m pleased to announce that BimmerWorld is offering a contingency program for Spec E30 in NASA-SE for the remainder of 2011. As most of you are already aware, BimmerWorld is a premier North American BMW performance facility offering OEM and Aftermarket parts through some of the most knowledgeable sales staff in the business.

BimmerWorld Contingency Sponsorship

BimmerWorld is providing a contingency program for the 2011 NASA Southeast race season for the SpecE30 class as follows:

Program Requirements

* BW - To be eligible for BimmerWorld contingencies, car must display the official BimmerWorld decal (2.5”x11”) on each front fender, unless written approval of a substitution is on file from James at BimmerWorld.
* PFC - To be eligible for Performance Friction contingency, car must display the Performance Friction decal on the front position of the front fender in front of tire opening. Additionally, the finisher must produce an invoice or order number for their prior purchase of Performance Friction SpecE30-fitment brake pads from BimmerWorld dated within one year of the race date.

Contingency Details

Contingency will be awarded for one Saturday feature race per weekend of a NASA Southeast event. If there is no Saturday race, an alternate race can be designated. To claim contingency, email james@bimmerworld.com with a picture of your car showing the decal and a link to the official race results for your finish.

Payout Schedule

Payout for BimmerWorld awards is in the form of credit which can be used in the BimmerWorld store, one certificate per order. Payout for Performance Friction award is in the form of credit which can be used in the BimmerWorld store.

* 1st – $100 BimmerWorld Certificate, BimmerWorld decals required.
* 6th – Certificate for one box Performance Friction SpecE30 brake pads, PFC decals required.
* 11th – $50 BimmerWorld Certificate, BimmerWorld decals required.
* Hard Luck Weekend (can be awarded Sunday) – $75 BimmerWorld Certificate, BimmerWorld decals required. To be awarded by consensus of racers in the paddock for a good effort gone wrong due to the outside forces of bad racing luck. Racing doesn’t award poor preparation – neither should this certificate.

BimmerWorld has a long history of supporting club racers and the sport we all love dearly. I’d like to extend a big thanks to them for the continued support. If you have any questions about the program please feel free to contact me here or at evan.levine@gmail.com. I will be sure to have the required stickers and forms at the upcoming CMP race for anyone interested.

Awesome to have additional support from
Bimmerworld. 11th and 6th place contingency awards will keep the entire pack motivated. Thanks to James for the support.

#3

Very awesome. I was just about to place an order for some PFC06 pads, and I finally have the money together to finish my build. I hope this continues into 2012.

#4

This is awesome!! Looks like the 6th place award is back as well as a few other generous payouts as well. I have a whole box of brand new 6th place T-shirts to supply. I had them made early last year but the 6th place thing kind of fell apart. Ill bring them to CMP, hopefully I can pass them off to someone who intends to make each race this year? Chuck? R Patton?

Anyway, thanks for helping put this together Evan and huge thanks to James Clay and Bimmerworld!

Brian

Huge props to Bimmerworld for offering a contingency program for us again!!

And thanks to Evan for his efforts too!

I need to move some stickers around to put the BW ones in the right place. Fellow racers, let’s make this easy for Bimmerworld to keep it going. Get the stickers, comply with the rules for claiming prizes, keep our sponsor happy!!!

#6

Just a reminder - this contingency begins at our CMP race coming up at the end of the month. I will have the required decals for anyone who wishes to participate.

#7

Thanks to BimmerWorld for the contingency deal and put me down for the required decals at RA in June.

Awww… I was really hoping you’d be at CMP for some revenge.

Brian, you don’t need to ask, bring on the “Geiger 6th place memorial” t-shirts.

Evan, thanks for getting Bimmerworld’s sponsorship of the series. Racers, please reciprocate and buy some stuff from James and the gang at Bimmerworld.

I don’t know about the revenge part, but I was really hoping to be there too.

With both the brake pads and the super sweet 6th place t-shirt you guys should be on the look out for a point-by if I ever happen to end up running in 5th again.

Evan,
Are you bringing PFC stickers too? I need some. Have had Bimmerworld stickers for a long time but they’re getting a little frayed - could probably use some of those too.

You bet - I’ll have both of the required decals.

Not receiving many emails on the “Hard Luck” award. All you guys need to do is email evan.levine@gmail.com with your vote and we can award someone a $75 certificate for Bimmerworld.

Brian - Hit by a roadster?
Johan - Brake failure?
Colin - Brake failure and a flat tire?

Yeah, I qualify in the top 10 for the first time ever and get a DNF due to brake failure. That sounds like pretty bad luck to me!

What caused the brake failures and flat tire? I wan’t there or anything, but gettin’ hit by a roadster is pretty unlucky!

Thanks to those who voted - Jones is our winner of the Hard Luck Weekend. His brand new paint job and body work got taken out hard by a Thunder Roadster through little fault of his own.

#18

Jones’ hard luck began with a shortage of chromosomes. That Thunder Roadster thing is just the latest installment of bad luck.

#19

Dang, I got totally punked. What could possibly be more comforting to Jones then to have his car beat to shit? I can only imagine how disconcerting it was for him to have shiney straight sheetmetal for a whole day.

I, on the other hand, having just 48hrs prior executed my monthly ritual of waxing the brave and shiny Ranger6, would find myself a victim of the BAD LUCK of having been born more good looking than skilled. Into a tire wall at 70mph, surrounded by crumpled body panels and a HANS strap hanging on my left shoulder.

I WAS SEVERELY TRAUMATIZED!!!

SEVERELY… TRAUMATIZED.

Jones, comforted. Ranger, TRAUMATIZED.

AND NOW THIS!!!

OH THE DESPAIR!

Unfortunately this award is more likely to pay out when something hits you, not when you hit something. We could always run a Kamakazi award past Clay though…
