BimmerWorld 2011 - NASA-SE SE30 Sponsorship!

Now there is an idea and it could be a dual award. I’d favor a public stoning for the guilty party and a nice reward for the injured party.

#22

Don’t do it just on my behalf. I just saw an opening to be a wise-ass and so chimed in.
… having been born more good looking than skilled.
Hell, even Madooski can make that claim.

And this is how he drives… Lovin’ Up on the Tire Wall

Hey, he resembles that remark. :silly:

Yup, that is what I am here for. :woohoo:

#27

Woo Hoo! Thanks for the votes everyone! I hope to have the car back on track for the Lowe’s event.

Dang, I got totally punked. What could possibly be more comforting to Jones then to have his car beat to shit? I can only imagine how disconcerting it was for him to have shiney straight sheetmetal for a whole day.

I, on the other hand, having just 48hrs prior executed my monthly ritual of waxing the brave and shiny Ranger6, would find myself a victim of the BAD LUCK of having been born more good looking than skilled. Into a tire wall at 70mph, surrounded by crumpled body panels and a HANS strap hanging on my left shoulder.

I WAS SEVERELY TRAUMATIZED!!!

SEVERELY… TRAUMATIZED.

Jones, comforted. Ranger, TRAUMATIZED.

AND NOW THIS!!!

OH THE DESPAIR!
There, there Ranger. With your luck, your bound to “win” many of these as the season goes along. Hopefully you dont.

SteveD- Bad luck? This “shortage” has allowed me to take advantage of many gubment programs and advantages. How do you think I afford racing? Thanks for the tax dollars! I have to go now, brain is hurting.

#29

Bring lots of stickers to RA; I will need a set.

#30

Sorry I missed Road Atlanta guys, but hopefully DeVinney was able to provide stickers for those of you that still needed them. At this point just about everyone interested in participating should have the PFC decal on the front part of the front fenders and a Bimmerworld decal anywhere on the front fenders. I’ll have more at Charlotte just incase.

Road Atlanta Saturday June 18th Winners!!

 1. Steve DeVinney ($100 BW certificate)
 2. Robert Patton (PFC Pads)
 3. Laura Parkhurst ($50 BW certificate)

Do we have nominees for the Hard Luck Weekend? Anyone struck down by cosmic hate?

To the winners: Email a picture of your car with stickers in proper location to james@bimmerworld.com and cc evan.levine@gmail.com along with a link to the Mylaps results. http://www.mylaps.com/results/showrun.jsp?id=1941173&perclass=1

Thanks to those participating, thanks to Bimmerworld, and lets get pumped for Charlotte!

Give the Hard Luck award to Ranger! After that Porsche oiled down turn 1, he hit the wall yet again.

#32

Walsh lost the nut off of the eccentric rtab on the outlap causing him not to start from P3 Sunday.

I broke rocker #5 Sunday running strong in second. I had a pitty party for myself but Ill take a hardluck vote anytime.

You and I do the honorable thing Saturday night and E&E from Donna the NC schoolteacher, and it’s Walsh that gets a nut off?

Charlotte Motor Speedway - July 2nd, 2011

1st place: Evan Levine (yay)
6th place: Robert Patton… again
11th place: Laura Parkhurst… again

I think the Patton’s are playing the system.

As usual, email the results to james@bimmerworld.com with a picture of your car and appropriate stickers to claim your reward.

Re Pattons’ finish: If you can’t be good, be good at it.

Thanks to those who contacted me to participate. Ranger - you’re the winner of the hard luck award from RATL June. Email james@bimmerworld.com with your sad story, nomination, and cc me if you’d like.

Lets start hearing stories from Charlotte?

Colin lost a motor mount, breaking the other motor mount, and putting a coolant hose through the alternator fan?

Carter got hit by a thunder roadster?

Walsh got nudged into the grass by me?

Travis blew a motor? (Not sure you can call that luck…)
Lets start hearing stories from Charlotte?
Charlotte hard luck? The racing went OK, but my flight to Nashville was delayed because the plane’s crapper was full. This caused me to have to rush through dinner so we wouldn’t be late for U2. Oh the humanity!!

#38

Really? You consider losing to me, Turnipseed, and having the Hall’s golden retriever accept your 3rd place trophy at the ceremony OK?

Mostly because Christina was there. You are definitely not boxing your weight there, my friend.

When you consider I spent the day not racing and laying in a puddle of coolant trying to fix the car… Yeah that sounds bad, right?

Thanks to the Palacios, Evan, Al, Tower and everyone else who either helped or provided parts for me not to race that weekend.
